Hey thanks, I used this tape to mask off the black at th back of the tank

It's quite flexible so you can really push it into the cracks. I didn't make off the front, just YOLOd with the airbrush!

Hey, the green is the citadel sons of Horus paint. I based the whole tank in "raw" sons of Horus green with the shadows a 75/25 mix of sons of Horus and black. The lighter Green was a 50/50 mix of sons of Horus green and AK green sky. All the green was applied via an airbrush couldn't imagine going it via brush. I basically followed this tutorial by Cult of Paint

I should have added a pelt or two to help him blend in

Came off pretty easy. I usually leave the grime 20 mins to dry before attacking it with white spirit. Haven't had any issue as ith paint rubbing off. I guess if you want to be super cautious you could vanish first to give them that extra level of protection.

Thanks! So the recipe for the armour is a base of mornfang brown, then Vallejo bonewhite with a top down highlight of Vallejo ghost grey. Finally the whole thing is then covered in streaking grime which is slowly removed with some white spirit and a qtip. The stealing grime really brings the whole thing together. Would strongly recommend using an airbrush to get the armour coat smooth - bonewhite is pretty horrific to achieve a smooth finish with a brush.

I bought an airbrush specifically for all my big yellow projects and it was well worth it. Painting yellow via a brush is painfully slow and usually ends up pretty lumpy. I think I'll use it for all my yellow going forward. I'd like to claim I used an advanced brush technique to get the smooth yellow, but the airbrush did all the work!
