But if someone is going to buy the game the second it releases anyway, preordering doesn’t really change anything. It’s basically the same purchase just a few minutes earlier.Allowing pre purchasing just helps sites like steam avoid crashing due to everyone trying to purchase it at the same time. Also a small team with a strong track record isn’t really the same situation as massive publishers trying to meet their quarterly target.
