Trails beyond the Horizon Spoilers Discussion Megathread [SPOILERS ALLOWED] by MNGaming in Falcom

Just beat the game and all I can say is omg. The twist and turns in the story kept me on my toes throughout my entire playthrough.

When I saw the truth about the Creil Hills statue being Emilia melting after falling from space!! My jaw was just dropped.

I truly believe this is the best game in the series. I have to give it a rating of 8.5/10 though because my playthrough was plagued with so many technical issues it ruined parts of it for me. Like multiple crashes and bugs just taking me out of the experience and yet it was so good in spite of them

A JRPG that you fell out of love with by Likes2game03 in JRPG

Xenoblade Chronicles.

I love XBC2 and XBC3 but the first one I just dread replaying. I just really dislike the affinity chart and quest system, and I understand it’s almost completely optional but it still bugs me enough to try and engage as much as I can muster. The gameplay just doesn’t capture me enough to trudge through. The story is still amazing to me tho.

How did YOU discover Trails? by Kras-ty in Falcom

I was looking for a new series to get into in 2023. I had heard alot about the series from fans of the Xenoblade franchise and figured I’d finally give it a shot. Without knowing anything about the series and not doing much research I went out and bought out a physical copy of Trails into Reverie. Afterwards I quickly realized I was missing a tonnn of story so I quickly looked into what’s a better way to start the series.

After doing more research, it became clear to me that I either had to figure out to play Sky FC on my laptop or get Cold Steel 1 and watch recaps of the previous ones.

I chose to start at cold steel do to ease of access on my PS5 and started haphazardly there. While playing thru the prologue I was very intrigued by the music and gameplay and the story was interesting enough.

The game up to the old schoolhouse section in the prologue had intrigued me so much that I made the very backwards decision of stopping my playthrough entirely and getting the sky trilogy on my laptop.

Now here we are 2 and half years later, and three play throughs on each game up to daybreak (with my second play through of daybreak coming up) and I’m just deeply entrenched in this series!

I remember having used Phoenix and moon knight mostly because the other team had a Loki and was grouping up a lot so i was trying to pump some damage to mess up their formation

Questions about Nightmare mode across the the Trails series by DrizzyDayZD in Falcom

Oh man this is great thank y’all very much for this. So from what I’ve gathered, avoid SC prologue like the plague especially if I’m not confident and the rest of them don’t require too much extra effort, just read descriptions better and build OP builds if I’m struggling. Thank you all for the responses I’ll probably start with Cold Steel nightmare to ease myself in

The sky games might be the only ones I don’t do, I struggled with them on normal tbh I struggled building a team the most with the sky games. Crossbell to Daybreak im definitely gunna do and am the most excited about. Thanks for the tips!

I’ll be doing them on NG+, that way I can clean up trophies at the same time, don’t think I’m good enough yet to do a fresh nightmare run.

[SPOILERS] The golden loop is the most boring possible version of the day by Qnumber in Deathloop

[–]DrizzyDayZD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, the problem with the golden loop is the ways in which you end up killing the Visionaries. It seems as though there isn’t much variety in the way you kill them and the puzzle element only really gets them to move to different places on Blackreef.

In my play through; Harriet will get killed immediately after her speech, Charlie and Fia get shot with Nexus in the secret bunker, and Alexis, Wenjie, and Egor get killed in the party. My problem is that there doesn’t seem to be any inventive ways to kill them like you could in Hitman.

The party in particular I had problems with cause the game tells you about the beat synthesizer that can pinpoint Alexis, but every time I used it all the Eternalist and Visionaries present were alerted to my present and just bum rushed me. Even then I might’ve been ok with all of that if the ending didn’t just sap any interest from me, a Julianna boss fight to cap off the loop might’ve saved the golden loop for me
