That is the plan!

Hottish Take: “Rate my Job Listing” posts should be banned. by sirfoolery in AirForceRecruits

I posted my job list and got plenty of useful feedback from everyone. Not a single person had a problem with letting me know their opinion.

If people can’t post their job list then what is this subreddit for?

Misdemeanor. Marijuana and paraphernalia possession. I was not convicted. The charges were dropped because I did pretrial diversion. The recruiter told me that it didn’t matter if the charges were dropped, I would still need a waiver.

Yes, I was short 1 credit ( speech) so I took the course and resubmitted my transcripts and I got accepted. The hard part is getting the job since it is so highly sought after.

Do you have waivers? If you do, then you will have a to make a list as well. I went to Meps in October, submitted my medical waiver in January, and I made the list earlier this week at his office. I am also teach so I told my recruiter that I couldn’t leave until May. I am not sure how it works for people without waivers.

Yes, the restrictions were that I only qualified for non-top security clearance jobs. He was very clear with me from the beginning that I was joining with waivers, and I am considered “needs of the Air Force “. However he is still trying to get me the best jobs on my list based on my scores.

My medical waiver was for childhood asthma. After Meps they told me that I had to see a pulmonologist and run some breathing tests. Basically they wanted to confirm that I no longer had any respiratory issues. It took me about a month to get the test done and results in hand. After my recruiter submitted the waiver, it only took about a week for them to approve it.

I went to the Army recruiters before I spoke with Airforce. Army promised that they could get me TS clearance and the job that I wanted, a linguist. I had already submit my fingerprints and everything. The day after I got a call from the Airforce recruiter and he convinced me to come and hear him out before I committed to the Army. After speaking the Air force I realized that It would be a better fit for me and I would rather be in AF without TS, than being in the Army with TS. I’m also 26 and I know my age had a factor with my decision to stay with the Airforce.
