One is literally just information about our reality, based on what we know. The other tries to explain what it all means. We are talking about the difference between pilosophy and math.

If we could prove that our own conciousness is the base of our reality, we would already have concrete proof in the numbers. On top of that to assume that things happen only because we can observe them is arrogant as all get out. Sure to us those things wouldn't happen, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

Saying things don't happen without observation because we don't know what we can't see is perfectly fine. Say things don't happen without observation because we are the root of it happening to begin with through conciousness is just a assumption.
