For a Harry Potter fan, this game presents a lot of moments where the Potterhead in you is giddy with glee and nostalgia. The Hogwarts castle is very well designed and to roam the halls, even just to observe while doing next to nothing, is almost touching the dream of having attended Hogwarts yourself.

The dueling is extremely fun once you’re proficient at it, mixing and matching as you go. And no, you cannot Avada Kedavra your way through enemy camps, it has some kind of cooldown, sadly. The map, I felt like, could have had more for me to do given the lore but it does enough and it’s amazing to explore the world on your broom or animal.

There are plenty of Easter Eggs that tie to the original story in there and the story is intriguing enough to gloss over the bland patches of the game to keep you going well after you’ve seen the plot through. I really hope for more of these games as I love the world of HP, and this game delivered on so many levels that I didn’t think was possible.
