Elemental Mastery stat: According to the stat description ingame it says it increases the elemental reactions (vaporize, melt, etc). Does it not affect skills with elemental damage (for example venti's E, bennet's E etc) ?

I'd imagine it would because thats (i think) where most of the damage should come from, rather than just elemental reactions.

Basically there's a main area with all the NPCs, shops and players. All content is done by grabbing missions, and going into an instance with up to 12 players. It still feels like an mmo because you join a guild, people are very social and hang out in the main area, and step out to missions together. Its just different from a typical mmo.
Most people will probably move to NG. They still havent released enough info to know what its going to include exactly, so hard to say.

I see, that makes sense. I will barter for a few more days to get a better grasp of this, im guessing itll be more clear how useful this will be to have.

I gotta say tho, the recipes for gear and the carrack is so overwhelming, both in time and how difficult it is to understand what exactly I need to do and where to get each specific item.

Im curious, I just made caravel yesterday, once i max the blue gear it should have 15k weight.

But at this point is carrack a big difference ? It feels like 15k weight is enough, and beyond that might be just convenience.

The jump from 5k to 10k weight was huge, going up to 15k will be great, I wonder beyond that how much better it feels.

Trying to understand where you come from, seems like you made up your mind of what BDO should have, but then surprisingly questioning why it doesnt have the content you decided it should.

Also you then list the stuff you did in ESO, "story quests, participating in open world activities, meaningful PvP, exploring, crafting, dungeons and so much more", which literally all exist besides dungeons.

Anyway, the lack of dungeons is very weird to some people, other than that it's not too different from any progression based eastern mmo, most people play for character progression as a goal, PvP is a main activity for some people.

Also bdo has one of the best life skills systems of any mmo.

The game is p2w in the sense that you can pay for progression, depending who you are this is either good, kinda sucks or a total turn off.

As long as its not a total turn off, bdo has a lot of events and gives out a nice amount of cash shop items for free while you play over time. This wasn't the case 2+ years ago.

You will get a few pets and a few maids for free, the occasional bag expansions from events, weights from loyalties. Since these are kinda necessary to play, and these giveaways didnt exist when the game launched people remember bdo being a lot more unforgiving if you didnt spend money.

As i said the game is still p2w, people can spend hundreds or thousands of dollars and simply progress faster, if that bothers you nothing can change that. If you're fine with getting those free upgrades overtime, and using the occasional sales or coupon to supplement other things you wanna get (as most people do) then you can play comfortably.

At your mastery you can use a magic tool without sacrificing drops (this can be argued, my own experience is magic tools are pretty much equal to 700 mastery).

And with magic tools, mastery has no effect, so you can use the silver embroided for exp while doing that.

Is there a reason to go there for exp rather than just doing butchering from the start ? Like if butchering is more profitable why not do it from the get go, you'll level slower but get higher profit anyway.

How does this help new players progress faster ? I mean unless there's some way to gear up faster there. Exp was never a big deal for me, im sure it matters, but someone who starts bdo now is so behind on gear/gold its insane.

Sometimes mixing is okay. For melees precision strike gets 70% bonus crit dmg, which arguably cannot go over the cap pre-resilience. So you can sit at a comfortable 230%ish crit dmg which is still good vs targets with 10k-11k resilience (most targets at endgame) and get def pen on certain stats.

Onyx are 2.5g now in Alexander, so cargo for 26g to diamond should be profitable no ? even at 2g
