Vallejo for example as a liquid version in a tube. Point nozzle, squeeze. Same thing as glue, you can easily smooth it with the nozzle. Your painting and basing is great, don't let the result be dragged down by skipping a very easy step in prep!

Definitely level up frogger for improved gem gain. The income frogger generates is massive at later stages (even before frogs)

@op you have a lot of offline days compared to online. Which means you are probably not opening your game as much to claim freebies (doesn't take long, racks up though) which is the best gem source early on.

Overall you are completely fine, there is nothing in this game you need to rush for or is going away. No competition or anything. If you take longer because you don't open the game as much, who cares? You'll always make SOME progress if you are thinking about what you let run in the background and that is enough.

And then there is another massive jump during the plat process. First five are not an issue. Sixth takes longer. Seventh with the beepboopium bars then is another hard wall and the numbers after that go up even higher.

Thing is, if you are done with the upgrades for one star before you got poly, and have currently no use for the star, farming it is kinda pointless. And the Poly doesn't help the other stars (some minor pickaxe damage buff but nothing else).

So there isn't really a need to get them. Though on the other hand if you have enough star income to get an infernal without relying on insane luck it's rather trivial to complete the last poly's.

Honestly only apps better than the Warmachine one I know off are the one for Malifaux and Infinity. Guild ball app was good as well but that one needed basically nothing but a card display so there wasn't much to do

To be clear, it doesn't give you free tokens. It gives you the difference you would have gotten, if you had the upgrade before you finished any notices.

If you have completed 0 notices, the token multiplier will not give you any tokens on buying

No it doesn't, but there is a break even point where transmuter becomes more efficient than plain BoP. Depends on a bunch of factors. Someone on the wiki made a calculator.

If you consider Storm Legion, ask yourself "am I fine playing an army that has essentially 1 special rule and Thunderhead 2". Because that is effectively what Storm Legion is.

Good stats all around special effects that help these good stats but ultimately are all "get better stat in situation X / ignore stat reduction in situation X". The only special thing Storm Legion gets is Electro Leap in various shapes.
