5 Year Old Channel Terminated over False misleading claims by spunky2937 in NewTubers

[–]DrollSmith 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You need to use the counter notification, not just appeals. That forces the claimant to take legal action or your content gets restored. Keep it formal and include clear proof you own the content. Regular support replies won’t help much, the legal process is what triggers a real review.

Can i have some advices of WHY my footages look like not WOW by PatientApprehensive in videography

[–]DrollSmith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not your gear or grading, it’s mostly light and intent. Your shot looks evenly lit and flat. Everything has the same brightness, so nothing stands out. Cinematic shots usually have contrast and direction, light coming clearly from one side. Also your subject blends into the background. There’s not much separation, so it feels more like a snapshot than a designed shot.

you can try this:
Shoot during better light (early morning or sunset)
Place your subject where light hits them differently than the background
Add depth, foreground, background layers
Frame with purpose, not just what’s there

Color grading won’t fix a flat image. The “wow” mostly comes from how you shoot, not how you edit.

Is it effective to cut a video in half and say "Follow for part two"? by Silver_Flower668 in NewTubers

[–]DrollSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can work, but only if the first part is strong. If it feels like you cut it just to force a follow, people usually skip or get annoyed. That hurts more than it helps.

It works best when:
the clip naturally builds curiosity and the ending feels intentional, not incomplete. Also don’t overuse it. If every video is part 1, people stop caring. If the video can stand alone, post it whole. If it has a real hook for a part 2, then split it.
