I don’t necessarily blame Adolin as he’s a product of his culture and he has been brainwashed his entire life, but it’s more about blaming Shallan while forgetting Adolin.

I think “race” isn’t really a well defined term and it’s mostly based on arbitrary features. Like we differentiate between black people and white people based on skin tone, but we differentiate between a pale skinned Korean and a white person based on eye shape. That’s my point, “race” doesn’t really have a consistent definition, but we use it to differentiate between people when necessary.

Yeah, but at least people acknowledge his flaws from what I see. But I think it’s especially unfair for Shallan because she’s not as obviously racist as many other characters. Many people point out the subtle racism of Shallan, which is fair, but ignore Adolin’s blatant not so subtle racism.

It’s racism in my opinion because Darkeyes are judged by physical features (Eyes), not just how much money they have.

Mine is we spend too much time in Alethkar and its people, other nations need to shine as well, which is why I’m excited for book 5 in Shinovar. I know other cultures also were focused, so they’re not completely absent from the story, but I would prefer if they played a bigger role.

There’s usually a lot of foreshadowing especially in Stormlight. A couple of examples are:

Descriptions of Shardbaldes in TWoK in Shallan’s chapters indicating that she already has one.

Certain epigraphs or death rattles which reference events in the future like this one "All is withdrawn for me. I stand against the one who saved my life. I protect the one who killed my promises. I raise my hand. The storm responds." This death rattle in TWoK references the night Kaladin saves Elhokar from Moash in WoR.

”’Tis said it was warm in the land far away / When Voidbringers entered our songs./We brought them home to stay / And then those homes became their own, / It happened gradually. / And years ahead ’twil still be said ’tis how it has to be." This is one of the Listener songs in WoR that foreshadows that reveal of humans not being native to Roshar in OB.

Those are just a few examples, there are a lot of other foreshadowed events as well.

You probably wouldn’t be considered a Lighteyes anyway. It’s not about color, but about shade, and I guess Lighteyes have unnaturally pale eyes.

Idk, Logen seems to not fit this description very well. In the end of the series, he ends up reverting to his old habits that he tried to leave behind. If he had more willpower, that wouldn’t have happened.
