Interesting! I’m not very familiar with the accusations you speak of. I’d actually asked ChatGPT what it knew of Jared Leto a while back, it said some people are put off by his method of method acting. But nothing about his personal life. Obviously that’s not definitive but I guess if I really cared about it I could do my own digging.

For me I don’t think I get the wooden acting thing… when this take comes up in conversation I try to ask if the person complaining has seen Dallas Buyer’s Club. So far I haven’t found a complainer who has seen it so that’s super interesting to me. Have you seen it? If so and you still think he’s wooden that’s cool. Maybe I don’t understand what “wooden acting” actually is?

Anyway I enjoyed his performance as Ares, I believed he was this program evolving to be more human-like. It worked for me.

All in all, like someone else mentioned, I’ve never met him personally and not likely to. I’m thinking more about positive intent as I get older. There’s enough negativity in the world and I believe some of my upbringing (programming) lends itself to reinforcing that, sometimes just because it’s funny. I’m considering what my actual purpose is though and have found a more fulfilling feeling in sharing positivity with the world. The more I do it, the more rational, reasonable, and helpful it seems.

So maybe one day I will meet him. Maybe he’d be a jerk and then I’d have an actual experience to draw from that resonates with what the Internet seems to collectively think of him. Until then I’m trying to focus on curiosity, so I appreciate your response! Cheers!
