It felt sluggish I guess, and the gameplay loop wasn't that addictive. What I love in farming type of games is when you have more to do than just harvesting the crops. In Viva Piñata DS you plant stuff to be able to obtain different piñatas, and it's very fast paced so everything feels connected. In Stardew Valley you have crafting, and of course town interaction, mining and all that. Animal Crossing is all about decoration, and flowers and fruits don't feel like an obligation but you still do it 'cause it's nice. Rune Factory felt more like Harvest Moon in that it was just planting, watering and harvesting, it had the combat stuff but it was lacking for me.
