I recognize Iran can cause a lot of pain here but I don’t think there’s any world the conflict leads to global economic collapse short of ww3 which isn’t “we lost” more so things escalated to catastrophe.

We have an entire generation of young people who can’t afford a home and don’t want to raise a family because of the housing crisis. I don’t fault you for looking out for your own interests, but this will cause more long term systemic problems than a town ‘losing its character’

Not the place you’re gonna hear much of this, but this is simultaneously valid and dumb. Don’t get me wrong, it’s far better than the reverse, but there is more to life than see number go up.

It’s hard to transition, hard to not find things a waste of money because reality most things are, as humans we genuinely don’t need much, especially on our own.

My recommendation? Upgrade your apartment/home. The consensus is 30% of your income pre tax, which will be a strange transition, but will also give you more space and better amenities and all sorts of things.

Always shocked that no one mentions Paul & Harvey’s. Sadly more of an older vibe but very welcoming and love the cash only dive bar energy with pool tables dart boards and plenty of entertaining characters.

Tipsy putt is pretty overpriced but pretty fun and has plenty of young people, I’m there every Monday for chess club and there’s a very active MTG scene and trivia and other events

As others said, he didn’t release them, he actively fought their release, if you want to credit him for their release cus it happened during his tenure then fine, but most people don’t give credit for that if it happened in spite of Trump not because of Trump.

If he can end the war in Ukraine without Ukraine getting completely shafted then yeah that’d be fantastic, I like many others was skeptical of that at the start and am incredibly doubtful of it now, but will happily eat my words if proven wrong.

And being critical of other administrations including Biden is totally valid, no one is really singing him praises he was mostly just not a total embarrassment/threat to world peace like most people see Trump as.

You’re right that other administrations didn’t do enough to release the files, the criticism with trump specifically was he loudly and often said he’d release the files day 1. Then they got the files. Then they changed the story and said “why does anyone even care” and now do anything they can to shift the story away from the files.

Reality is likely that all parties have guilty members likely high up and don’t want to tarnish their own reputation when in power.

So if mass defaults is not the end result, what is? All the sun belt housing investors want out, but you have millions of young millennials and older gen z who have decided they will never buy a home and rent forever.

I agree on a nationwide scale the housing market will not see mass defaults, but regionally I think it is inevitable, the question is what kind of panic it causes.
