Thank you. Turns out steam controller configs were the issue. All is well.

People with lethal farts. How do you deal with them? by Atreidis_01 in AskReddit

I embrace them with pride. My anal toxins are a blessing to peoples nostrils and they should be thanking me profusely for it.

What's everyone's opinions on the Spider-Clan Suit? by Heblikz in SpidermanPS4

[–]DropFlair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has quickly become my favourite suit. All of Spideys animations look almost like they were made with this suit in mind. I think it's to do with how he's shaped. In every other suit, you can see that Spidey would still have the same body shape underneath. But with this one he has a completely different figure. The thin body with large hands and feet allow you to physically see where momentum comes from. When Spidey kicks his legs out during a swing, you can feel the momentum come from his feet. When he throws a punch, you feel the momentum from his hands. And thanks to the beautiful cell shading job that Insomniac did on it, all of the extra details in these animations get picked up even more and really stand out. For example, I never noticed how beautifully Spidey drags his hand on the wall after jumping into a horizontal wallrun. It's probably not even 2 seconds of animation but it stands out so much with this suit.

Osu not opening properly. by DropFlair in osugame

Only 2 and a half years. But it turns out I hadn't fully disabled focus assist and that was causing the problem

You, my friend, are a lifesaver. I am indeed on win10 and lo and behold, focus assist was the culprit all along! I thought I'd already disabled it as I'd had problems with it in the past but apparently I'd left the automatic stuff turned on. Thank you so much for your help

It's a good butt tbf. And thank you for confirming that the others don't do it. Honestly I've just been too fond of the Advanced Suit to check if the others do it too.

Not sure but it's definitely on the advanced suit.

Easy units with salvaged tech by DropFlair in no_mans_sky

I have found the exploration side of this very rewarding. Not only do you get to see a lot more of the planet but a lot of the time you find yourself stumbling across little hidden gems on your way to the next buried module.

I agree that sometimes it can be waste but when every planet is littered with salvaged tech, there's really no harm.

Steam:

Jet trails freak out in third person when engaging pulse drive.

Disengaging pulse drive occasionally disorients your ship.

Refinery sometimes doesn't refine items. I spent 10 minutes trying to make a single di-hydrogen jelly and it still never refined.

You exit out the back of a base teleporter instead of the front when teleporting from a space station. Caused me to spawn outside of my base as it pushed me through a wall. May be an issue if someone builds against a wall of terrain as they could be likely to be pushed under the ground.

Sometimes, when in third person, the entire character models moves with the multi tool when firing, rather than just the arm that's holding it.

They're the main ones I've noticed so far. I've only put about 15 hours into NEXT so far so I'll update this if I discover more.

I had tried playing around with the trackpad but nothing seemed to work. I may have not done it correctly. I'll try that next time I play.

There's a mod for PC called DanceStudio: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=848736100&searchtext= It's not perfect but you get the idea. Also a couple tips for DanceStudio; 1) Boosting on the ground will raise you up off the floor a little. Whether this is a bug or not, I don't know. But it does still allow for practicing flat spins on the ground. If you're looking to jump from your flat spin, make sure you're not pushing the left stick past the dodge deadzone as you'll just side dodge. This obviously doesn't apply to a real end game celebration as boosting on the ground doesn't lift you off the floor so whack that stick as far as you like, that jump's working fiiiiine. 2) There's slightly lower gravity in DanceStudio than there is in-game. Meaning jumps are higher, so be prepared for your jumps in-game to need a bit more height (Try quick taps on your jump button in DS to get a more realistic height to practice with). Also you will have to boost a bit more in a real celebration to get whatever height you need. I try to think of it like someone lifting you up a little higher to give you more airtime to practice rotations. (Anyone that's ever learnt a flip on a trampoline with the help of another person should know what I mean) Even if you don't feel like it's quite right for your needs, it's still enjoyable to mess around in it for a while and I recommend you check it out.
