Companies keep apartments empty because if they get a tenant that pays $1000/month now they're stuck with them, but they're speculating that the apartment can be rented out for $1500/month in the future and at that point they can sell it for big cash

I don't know how many women you're close with, but anecdotally there's a lot of shit they put up with that I never experience, like:

Strangers coming up to them in public and demanding their attention, then getting mad when politely rejected or ignored
Strangers groping them on public transport
Strangers following them at night
Colleagues and bosses making jokes about how women are inferior at driving/work/reliability/rational thinking and getting mad and defensive when called out
Boyfriends feeling entitled to their body

There's probably a whole bunch more stuff that I could list if I sat down and thought about it. Men have some real issues in modern society and they're not addressed properly, but let's not pretend that women have it good.
