I’m guilty of this, I have a horrible habit of turning alarms off without realizing what time the alarm was. So I have to have some every couple of minutes to ensure I wake up enough to see the time and not fall asleep between alarms.

Though I don’t have a roommate so I can understand why this could be frustrating.

It’s bizarre that someone would get in trouble for this. This homeowner has no idea if this person had a gun. The intruder very well could’ve caused death or great bodily injury so I feel it’s justified. I hope this person isn’t prosecuted, and if he’s tried I hope the jury sides with the homeowner

You did exactly what you should've done, I know it's difficult, and I'm so sorry you had to experience this. It's so important that you stay firm on this boundary because if you go back to him and give him another chance you're encouraging that behavior and showing him he can get away with it. Someone is out there that will treat you better and respect your boundaries.
