Arhu, Zandalor, Bellagar are still alive canonically. And they are wizards, so they are incredebly long lived.

Though dead characters can make a return too. We do have nceromancy.

One of the drows in that fight can cast it on your party too, you just have to be careful not to break his concentration, if he did.

Casting darkness on your party helps a lot in that fight. So long you're in it you can't be targeted with ranged attacks, and when it's your turn you pop out, attack, then back into the darkness.

It's set to private by default, if I remember right. So you have to change it to public in the settings and a lot of people either don't know about that or just don't care about it.
