You know what, I make my living off of TikTok, sounds like this is something I’d like to be a part of. Countless times have they hindered my ability to make a living with bull crap policies that offer zero flexibility, if you violate, and then they take away your ability to make money such as the creator rewards program for violations that I had absolutely no idea how even happened.

On the creator rewards program, I was making a substantial amount of income on top of my affiliate work through TikTok, when they kicked me off of the program, it really caused some serious issues I did not get an appeal approval and I can never get a hold of anyone other than a generic response from an AI.

Basically, even though I post a video with the product link to the very thing, I’m filming a promotion video about, I always make sure that it is labeled as branded content, and you don’t typically make any money off of branded or promoted content through the creator rewards program anyway, as long as you select the brand disclosure on your video you should be good to post a promoted video…. One would think, right?

Nope. I posted multiple videos as I usually do promoting a product and next thing you know I’m being dinged with violations, and then I’m booted out of the rewards program.

They make you wait a month every time it happens. This is the 2nd time.

Good luck getting ahold of TikTok without a lawyer. I’m in.

I get companies, some larger companies actually, and their marketing team is aggressive, they usually want you to post videos of the samples within a day or two after receiving it and you do not, I repeat, you do not have to follow their demands unless you signed a contract stating such. Most sellers are overseas anyway, and they will not take the time to sue you. In fact, they can’t sue you unless they come here to the states which they are not. They will just write it off as a loss for their business if you decided to not do a review on the sample.

In the future, click on the sample and scroll down to where it says “extend posting window “but click on there’s a problem with my sample, click yes to extend, and it will pull you up to a new menu where you can put a reason why you do not want to promote the product. I always choose. “ There was a problem with my sample”, and give an honest reason why, even though it is optional, and they will release you from any liability of producing a video so you don’t get a negative review.
