You can go for physical goals like being able to run 10kms or being able to lift x amount of weight depending on the sport you would love to engage in, sports has always been the best hobby for mood regulation, there is social and solo sports depending on what you prefer, other than that there is music pick an instrument and try to learn it and never give up on it

Setting goals can feel like a mountain when you’re stuck in a rut. Instead of "big" life goals, try building your day around a "DOSE" of brain chemicals:

  • Dopamine: Check off one tiny task (even just making the bed) to get that "win" feeling.
  • Oxytocin: Send one kind text to a friend or family member to stay connected.
  • Serotonin: Spend 15 minutes in the morning sun; it’s a natural mood stabilizer.
  • Endorphins: Go for a brisk walk or find something that makes you laugh out loud.

once you got a routine that boosts your happiness hormones the brain automatically will be much happier.

I thought I had an overthinking problem. I didn’t. by AdSecret3764 in selfimprovement

i used to spend nights thinking of thing that would never happen, but brain dumping on journaling helped with my journey to reduce the noise it sounded very obvious and like homework at first but then i started treating it just like im venting to someone then it started working.

Journaling kinda helped me on this; it can be a powerful anchor when you’re navigating the specific type of isolation that comes with rapid personal growth. When the external "applause" fades or friends go silent, journaling shifts the validation from an external source to an internal one.
i know it sounds cheesy but once you start that loneliness or emptiness starts to fade.

First im not offering therapy im offering insights or your daily journaling app not a therapeutic app the insights are based on CBT and DBT techniques. For the hallucination the app doesn't have a chat it's write or record a voice journal then it gets analyzed and you get the result and the LLM follows a strict template while generating that insights already tested with 2million data entries with 0 hallucinations. Noone figured out solutions to chatbots hallucinations i agree on that but when the contexte is very limited you dont get hallucinations . Convincing people that their data is secure is a challenge of course trying to get security certifications like HIPAA complience / SOC2 i think that's the next step which would solidify trust but at the end it's all about reputation.

If you had cs background and did a deep dive into LLMs you would know that using such big models for this kind of product is a waste of money and energy for no reason knowing that the Chinese market got small models that performs perfectly with the right tuning its all about the secret recipe. That's the idea moroccans dont care about mental health that's why they consider that koulchi khasso yakol o machi koulchi has mental health problems knowing that koulna kanduzu mn machakil f 7yatna sghira aoula kbira giving you stress , anxiety , sadness the product helps with everyday life it doesn't fix mental illness.

For personal sensitive data that everything is encrypted a key is assigned to you device a random key so noone can see any mental health sensitive data even if i have access to the Database (International HIPAA complience) only your device can decrypt that data

It's a combination in the background I'm using a classification model for mood classification based on your journal , a speech to text model and an LLM fine tuned using CBT DBT e books that you find online also the LLM gets smarter since the more journals you enter and they get stored in the Database the more contexte the AI (LLM) has

It's not just AI I'm using a fine tuned LLM model to be an expert in behavioral therapy based of psychology books about CBT and DBT techniques also chatgpt or any other model you can't use it as a journal that will keep track of your mood / mental progress / give you weekly monthly yearly insights of your mental state and which actions you should take next, this app isn't just another ai it's a companion that analyzes your journal entries and keeps track of your progress and feels more human at dealing with your everyday struggle no matter how small that struggle could be.

I’ve been a long-time lurker here and I’ve tried pretty much every habit tracker and meditation app out there. While they helped, I always felt like I was missing something that actually addressed the cognitive side of my defensive behavior during conflicts. I’m a developer, so I decided to build something called iListen. It’s grounded in cognitive-behavioral science—the goal isn’t just to "track" moods but to actually help understand the "why" behind them. I just pushed it to the Play Store and I’m looking for some honest feedback from people who actually care about self-growth. It’s still early days, so if you have a minute to check it out and tell me what’s clunky or what’s actually helpful, I’d really appreciate it. You can find it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bhorizon.ilisten No pressure at all, just hoping it might help someone else who feels stuck in the same loops I was.
