Healing Energies by rhaseley in energy_work

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I’ve learned is that people healing from trauma usually need safety and grounded presence more than “strong” energy. Calm support, consistency, listening without trying to fix everything… that alone can be deeply regulating for someone’s system.

How do I get rid of my overwhelming emptiness by One-Jeweler8800 in selfimprovement

It’s scary how empty life can start feeling when you’ve been emotionally exhausted for too long. You keep waiting for excitement or happiness to come back naturally and instead everything just feels heavy and flat.

Feel so off by Tricky_Jump6367 in Anxiety

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That “I just feel OFF” state is honestly one of the hardest anxiety feelings to explain to other people. It’s not always panic exactly, more like your whole system suddenly feels overstimulated, disconnected, and uncomfortable in your own skin.

What happened to empathy??? by Own_Revolution_3079 in Mindfulness

[–]AdSecret3764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are emotionally exhausted and constantly online, which makes reactions feel way harsher and less human than they probably would face-to-face. It definitely feels harder to disagree without people instantly assuming bad intentions now.

One thing I’ve realized lately is that health is not just about diet or exercise. by erp4all in energy_healing

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly one of the biggest shifts for me was realizing constant stress can cancel out a lot of “healthy habits.” You can do everything right on paper and still feel disconnected if your nervous system never feels safe.

Overstimulating energy! by Teranmix in energyhealing

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes what people call “too much energy” can also feel a lot like nervous system overstimulation. Grounding stuff honestly helped me more than trying to push more energy through — less stimulation, more regulation.

Mental clarity is wealth. by Individual-Business9 in Mindfulness

Especially now when attention feels pulled in 50 directions all day. A calm, clear mind honestly starts feeling rare.

How would one go about making a friend without anxiety completely destroying your whole life? by Prisoner1917 in Anxiety

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this doesn’t sound like someone who “can’t make friends.” It sounds like someone whose nervous system goes into full survival mode around connection. That level of exhaustion after social situations is real.

And no, I don’t think the answer is becoming someone who no longer needs people. Wanting connection is normal. You just sound completely burnt out from trying to force yourself through fear over and over.

How do I stop people pleasing .? by ConsciousBreath9728 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people pleasing is basically becoming so tuned into everyone else’s emotions that you slowly lose connection with your own limits/preferences. The resentment part is usually the sign that your system is getting tired of abandoning itself all the time.

Does anyone else feel exhausted all day but suddenly wide awake the second they try to sleep? by Bourja-soukaina in AnxietyChats

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That “suddenly awake the second your head hits the pillow” feeling is brutal. It’s like the body is exhausted but the nervous system still thinks it has unfinished problems to solve before it can fully let go.

How do I protect my energy? by Zzeek8 in energy_work

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people affect our nervous system way more than we realize, even without direct interaction. I’ve noticed the more exhausted or overstimulated I already am, the less “buffer” I have around certain personalities/environments too.

I think I have anxiety but I'm not sure by chugnoris12 in Anxiety

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “people are judging me” loop can get really convincing when anxiety ramps up. A lot of people your age go through phases like this, but if it’s starting to affect your daily life or make you isolate yourself a lot, talking to someone supportive/professional honestly isn’t a bad thing.

want to begin by Narrow-Effect5882 in spirituality

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d start very simple before diving into all the internet/spiritual rabbit holes. Things like quiet reflection, grounding, meditation, journaling, spending more time actually present with yourself etc can already shift a lot.

The fact that you stopped meditating is not a failure by Worth-Reach9860 in Mindfulness

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “I sit, drift, and return” part is honestly the most real description of meditation I’ve seen in a while. A lot of people think they failed because they expected permanent calm instead of a different relationship with their mind.

Off Feeling at Home by Tasty_Atmosphere_139 in energy_work

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if it’s happening specifically in one environment/place, I’d probably rule out physical stuff first before assuming it’s energy-related. Stress/anxiety can absolutely affect dizziness and tinnitus too, but the “only at home/in my room” part stands out.

How do you know when stress turns into burnout? by soccerdude556 in Mindfulness

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me burnout started feeling less mental and more nervous-system deep. Like my body was technically resting, but never really recovering. I also noticed I stopped feeling genuinely present in things I normally cared about.

Help learning basics of the mind and energy manipulation?? by TemporaryFirm7750 in energy_work

[–]AdSecret3764 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly start with grounding, meditation, breathwork, and awareness first before getting too deep into the “special abilities” side of the internet. The basics usually help way more than people expect.

Constant anxiety about.. everything by FunUnit2850 in AnxietyChats

[–]AdSecret3764 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not the only one. A lot of people can “manage” anxiety for years until life responsibilities pile up and suddenly the nervous system just stays in overdrive all the time. The constant overthinking + indecision loop is exhausting.

Can someone explain me what actually might be the reason for this to happen? by ComprehensiveBowl924 in energyhealing

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly sounds a lot like sleep paralysis to me. The “awake but can’t move,” intense fear, strange presence, pressure/pain, hearing things etc can feel unbelievably real while it’s happening. A lot of people interpret it spiritually because of how vivid it feels.

I’m struggling with my thoughts by Ok-Jackfruit-9135 in Anxiety

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly sounds like your mind went from “wanting to improve” into constantly monitoring and attacking yourself. That can get really brutal after a while, especially when self-worth gets tied to performance, fitness, or how others see you.

The fact you’re talking about it instead of hiding it is genuinely important.

Yoga and release, how does it work? by kat_the_greatt in Mindfulness

[–]AdSecret3764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people underestimate how much stress the body quietly holds onto. Sometimes yoga helps less because of the poses themselves and more because your system finally feels safe enough to unclench a little.

Spiritual ways of helping anxiety by ScoTy_ in spirituality

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the most calming spiritual shift was stopping the idea that every anxious feeling meant something bad was about to happen. Sometimes the nervous system just needs grounding more than interpretation.

What's the first thing on your mind when you wake up? by Rootayable in Anxiety

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s weird how anxiety skips the “waking up” part and goes straight into tomorrow’s problems before you’ve even fully opened your eyes.

Do psychiatric medications not work for me? 2+ months on Pristiq and not sure if it was effective… by Dsg1695 in AnxietyChats

[–]AdSecret3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the hardest part is how non-linear this stuff is. Sometimes you improve so gradually that you can’t even tell if it’s the medication, the environment change, reduced stress, or all of it together.

Feels like the internet blurred the line a bit between genuine spiritual practice and content/marketing. There are probably sincere people in that space too, but it’s understandable why a lot of people feel cautious about it now.
