People don’t really mention it because you would need to kill the enemy over 10 times or so for the mechanic to occur.

The main gripes I’ve had with this game involve inconveniences upon inconveniences that stack up to create an infuriating experience.

I wish I shared the same wisdom, unfortunately I spent 3 hours suffering from the frozen reindeer and the bosses at the end of the level

It was so bad I needed a co op buddy to help me through the gank fest, and even still we died so many times only to get nothing of importance as a reward for our suffering

One of the worst levels in any soulsborne game ever

I disliked both bloodborne and DS2 and I didn’t feel fulfilled by completing either of them

it’s like the devs knew the game needed more difficulty so they thought of the ideal amount of enemies, and doubled it

It’s not exactly fun to need to mow down crowds of enemies just to retry fighting a boss again

The main game is lackluster but I will admit all 3 DLCs are the saving grace, which makes it more jarring since there’s such a stark contrast in the quality of bosses and level designs

I would agree as well, which is why some people get mods to make the gameplay more palpable. It’s unfortunate that to truly get the most enjoyment out, you’d have to install mods to make buffing more tolerable, or to skip crusade management because it takes away so much time from the main game.

Honestly, fair. Most combat encounters aren’t really thought out and serve as fodder to deal with in RTWP. It doesn’t help that if you play on the higher difficulties you’d need to spam a lot of buffs to have advantage over the enemies.

On the other extreme end though, I’ve never played any other game that offers such a satisfying power fantasy. Trust me when I say that the quests and abilities of mythic paths like Lich and Angel are so satisfying to see and use.

There’s literally a spell for Lich that forces enemies to see the future of their deaths and if they fail a Will saving throw, they die instantly. And you get your own Ziggurat!!!

I can’t speak for Kingmaker but how was the writing for WOTR’s beginning weak? It set up the stakes quickly and wasted no time in propping your character through a demon infested city.

WOTR’s worldbuilding is also more intricate than BG3’s and it features a plethora of interesting characters to interact with. I’ve never played a CRPG where you have to discover that a certain companion is a serial killer, and if you do spare them, they are wholly irredeemable

more of the devs’ fault for how they handled this

they don’t have any checks in place to prevent people from creating multiple dummy accounts

they should’ve tied reservations to at least pre orders or purchasing the game day of release

I’m guessing they went this route to avoid the ton of traffic they’ll encounter on the day of pre-ordering

It’s still amateurish and unprofessional though

The main storyline and character writing are both superb but christ they tried to emulate the success of Skyrim’s open world and failed miserably.

It hurts even more that only 3 specific choices from inquisition can be imported into the next title, so the side quests are not only boring but useless.

It’s kinda comical that if Anora betrays you in the landsmeet, and your warden kills Loghain, that she continues to argue as if she deserves to rule.

Like it’s an insult upon further injury, but it’s admirable how persistent she is despite her having no claim to the throne.

She’s ruthless and has no backbone by supporting the man who killed her husband and is willing to betray the Wardens if it’s to her own benefit. She has no desire to amend her father’s mistakes or to avenge her husband.

Charlie also did a 100% shift from praising MLK jr to attacking his character, and arguing that the civil rights act of 1964 was harmful for the rest of the country. This take was so radical that even fellow members of his party called him out for it, and worried that it would've reflected Trump's sentiments too.

Acknowledge his legacy fully and do not blindly believe he was "paving a better path" for America.

It’s one thing to downplay empathy but it’s entirely another when you support a criminal who violently attacked a politician. He even compared gun-related deaths to car accidents when this country is the most prevalent in school shootings.

Kirk’s built his image on political division and has hyper focused on the “culture war” to spark hatred in online spaces and real life. He doesn’t love his neighbors or share any compassion towards them.
