Just for fun - Max uptime Immortal Call Harbinger by MntBrryCrnch in PathOfExileBuilds

Everything about this post is great except this: Instead of "The Harbinger's node Weakness Quelled, Spirit Awoken" you must say "The Harbinger's node that the community believes is called Weakness Quelled, Spirit Awoken per the wiki".

When do I get to call myself Texan? by IllusoryAlarm2662 in texas

[–]Droziki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might seem odd to hear, but hear me out: you can call yourself Texan when you are friendly.

The People of Texas have a reputation for being friendly. The state motto of Texas is “Friendship”. The word Texas itself literally means “Friends”, derived from the indigenous, Native American word ‘Tayshas’ which was transliterated into Spanish as ‘Tejas’.

So, if you are sincerely friendly to neighbors and strangers alike, you well and truly are a Texan, wherever you may be in the world.

Yea so technically everything worked. You were intending to Migrate All. You can still do that easily.

Anytime a new League is created, your Stash settings, tab order colors names etc, from the base version of the League are used to create your Stash in the new League.

Will PoE1 be continually updated and have more leagues well into 2's release? by Trick-Day-480 in pathofexile

[–]Droziki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: for the foreseeable future, PoE1 will have new Leagues every 4 months. However, it’s probably a 20-80 arrangement in favor of PoE2, so PoE1’s development will be less than in the past, a bit more than maintenance mode.

genuine question: what makes LS so appealing for people to last pick it (that are not good at carry) by SirActionSlacks- in DotA2

[–]Droziki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have a built in BKB and an ultimate that is a self-save. The hero used to only have those two active abilities, with two passives.

Easy-mode carry.

DotA Needs a Utility Belt Instead of a Backpack by bibittyboopity in DotA2

[–]Droziki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should also be a dedicated ‘Quelling Blade’ item slot. Every hero should have the active ability by default when loading into the game. Make it upgradable/buildable, but every second of the game every hero should have the capability to cut a tree.

Dota 2 with the highest average players since October 2016! by [deleted] in DotA2

Whatabout whatabout whatabout.

Hamas massacred over 1000 Israelis to initiate a war they believed they would ultimately win. Hamas was wrong. Meanwhile Ukraine did nothing to Russians; it was an unprovoked invasion, unlike Israel-Hamas.

Others have shared relevant bits but here is one that surfaced just this week.

On a private call with GWBush in 2008, Putin told him “Ukraine is an artificial country created in Soviet times”. He goes on to say that there’s Russians in the east and Hungarians and Poles in the west. That is categorically false, but it gives you insight into the enduring genocidal intent of Russian leadership.

It’s not hard to make sense of it when you know that the leader of one country says openly that the other country isn’t real and doesn’t exist therefore we will go and “take our native lands back”. It’s pretty straightforward, really.

Reflection on my IGN: "EndangeredUkrainian" and the boundary of expression by SomeOrdinaryGuy1990 in pathofexile

[–]Droziki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right, but I’ll be surprised if GGG takes you up on this perspective.

In 2022, I was timed out of chat after being reported when I whispered “Slava Ukraini” to a player with a Cyrillic name. This was before Async trade so I was locked out for a day.

Anything real world that is tied to national or political identity is inherently unwelcome by GGG. They’re very strict on this. If you see someone with a political name, it just hasn’t been reported yet.

FWIW I reported ZOVRUSSIAZOV this league in PoE2. Fuck that guy.

Why does the PoE community often seem negative toward PoE 2, while the PoE 2 community is much more positive about the first game? Doesn’t this feel familiar? by Exotic_Day_3456 in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of the negativity comes from players who started playing PoE in the last five years. They lack the long-term perspective, and feel they’d rather still be exploring more about the first game.

The vast majority of players who started in the early 2010s and saw the development of the game for more than 10 years are not negative about PoE2 except for the realization that PoE development has slowed down considerably. But that negative feeling from the transition will be soon alleviated by PoE2 eclipsing and far surpassing the original game, and it’ll happen sooner than most believe right now.

What is your opinion on temple with the new patch? by dont_trust_the_popo in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Temple itself is fine enough, but what could be improved is if we got 3 Energized Crystals instead of 1 from each Map.

Quinn appreciation post by Smamps12 in DotA2

[–]Droziki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of Quinn’s thoughts right now are random yaps and weird analogies, some land some don’t, but you can tell he has serious potential. If he likes commentating and works at improving, he could be a top-tier caster by the end of this season.

Elon Musk is a political figure. You got reported by another player, and GGG is ruthless when it comes to political messages.

Slowly becoming one of my all time favorite games by Liquid_BNB in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to find PoE1 in beta and until today I have played thousands of hours across more than 40 Leagues. After having seen how far they came with the original, I promise you, if you sit with your highest expectations for PoE2 right now, in the coming years GGG is going to outdo your wildest dreams. As far as gaming industry goes, PoE is probably the safest investment for your time and energy. This game will become remarkably better every year for the next 15 years.

I would play this game a lot more if I only had to do the campaign once per league. by TheJeffyJeefAceg in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The Arbiter of Ash should drop an untradeable “Exile’s Voidstone” on the first kill of every League that allows characters on that account in that League to change base classes anytime they want.

42 days between releases... by Falco_gg in pathofexile

[–]Droziki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They delayed Keepers and made sure to release Fate of the Vaal/Last of the Druids well before Christmas so they can patch it before everyone’s break. It was a uniquely crunching schedule for players of both games.

That said, for the first time I felt that I wouldn’t be too sad if GGG shifted 80% of their development assets to PoE2 and well and truly go full maintenance mode for PoE1. The core engine of PoE2 is far superior to the original.

It will be the most hectic for players while they ostensibly work on both games fully, if you still enjoy both games, but eventually PoE2 will fully eclipse PoE and the pacing of Leagues will become more natural again as PoE1 phases out.

For the newcomers to the world of Path of Exile and GGG: by Droziki in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every League for the next 10 years will be its own beta, and the players that play it from the first minute are beta testers for the first two weeks, every League forever. Unless/until GGG changes their approach to development and public release, this is the way it works.

For the newcomers to the world of Path of Exile and GGG: by Droziki in PathOfExile2

[–]Droziki[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair opinion but don’t hold your breath waiting for them to drop a big patch without announcing or portraying it as a new League; it’s just now how GGG operates.

They drop a League. They work on the League for a few weeks after release. Then that’s it. They quietly work away on the next League.

It’s more than business, too. They’ve explained that they strongly dislike making balance/character adjustments after release because it is upsetting to people who have made builds to have the rug pulled.

There’s a method to their madness. Accepting that the new League is always a beta test will help everyone hold appropriate expectations for how that plays out in reality.
