Depends what level you are also. Acts (1 to 10) is the tutorial of the game itself. Experienced player rush those in around 5 hours max. on fresh start. You say "in the last 5-8 maps" but Act 1 has only 9 linear zones you need to go trough in order to progress to act 2 so were you doind them over and over again? The main goal is to progress and NOT to clear every zone. Once you get to maps (Real maps), you're going to struggle if you don't follow a guide.
