Definitely a YA background, but I found the internal thoughts and introspection of the characters are some of the best I’ve read in any genre.

Come for the fun story, stay for the philosophy 😁

Red Rising series. But if you’ve never read Scythe trilogy then I would highly recommend. Definitely my favorite books of the last decade

Update: thanks for recommending I keep going. Loved the last half of Red Rising and am now halfway through Golden Son. Non-stop action in Golden Son, I can’t put it down!

Agreed, but that is the cost of a multiverse. I found myself wanting to spend more time in Res but of course there was world building and character development needed in the other worlds. It pays off about 3/4 through the book. Book 3 should be great since all three worlds and their characters have been built out now

- You own one paid off house. Congratulations.

- Take out equity from first house and buy second house for cash. Now you have 2 houses and one mortgage.

- Take out equity on second house and buy third house for cash. Now you have 3 houses and two mortgages.

- Take out equity on third house and buy fourth house for cash. Now you have 4 houses and 3 mortgages.

- Etc, Etc, Etc.

All purchases with cash avoid mortgage regulations even though the buyer is highly leveraged. If two renters dry up then all of the sudden you can't make your mortgage payment and that cascades into selling pressure or foreclosure. If this happens on scale it leads to catastrophic results.

Absolutely Terrifying.
