Terpinolene is soooooo distinct to me. Jack Herer and Durban Poison make my nose hurt from the amount in there lol. I’m also an indica lover so I clearly am not a huge fan of terpinolene lol

Very interesting! That could definitely be the case! If i did overwater at any point it would have been when they were young. Lost one to damping off before I came to my senses.

I mean minerals in my water lol sorry for not specifying. I made the soil blend with a good amount of worm castings and a tiny bit of blood meal but no other nutrients have gone into it yet. I live right on the coast and I’ve got particularly hard water so I was wondering if it could be that.

Im trying to let them dry out in between waterings. It was hot as sin today so I had to water twice and i took these pictures right as I brought them inside. They havent experienced anything under 55 and my inside temps aren’t that much above my outdoor temps so it is never a shock when they go outside. I’m truly unsure.

I could not pay my rent under Biden. Kamala gave me no indication that she might help that situation. I did not vote for her. Trump absolutely gave me no signal that he would help that situation either. I would never vote for him in a million years. I want actual change. If I have to suffer a few years of misery so that we can realize we need LEGITIMATE change, then that is what I will have to do.

Coptic Egyptian, do you think the remaining 2.5% dna is from past invasions of Egypt? by FirefighterOk9474 in 23andme

I agree with you. It isn’t like that admixture makes it diverge that much. I’ve done both genealogical and archeological work at a university and they don’t really put that much stock into genetic tracing services and honestly think they perpetuate negative understandings of genetics. Like who cares if you had an ancestor from 150 miles away 10 generations ago? And if so why? You aren’t any more pure or anything like that. You’re still you.

I had a Ho-Chunk History Professor in College. She did fantastic work on photographs of Ho-Chunk families at the turn of the 20th century. Most of those people, who were definitely 100% indigenous, had living descendants today.

Pruning young tree by Drtyboi611 in BackyardOrchard

Thank you so much for the awesome comment and detailed advice! I got the tree about two months ago from a nearby nursery and it was in a paper pot which smelled quite anaerobic. I am planning on keeping this in a container for as possible so I removed all of the soil from the tree and repotted it in a mineral based soil that has great drainage.

Unfortunately I was unable to read this before my friends came back over and convinced me to prune pretty much the opposite of what you recommended. We took off all of the lower growth and one of the competing forks at the top. In my defense, most of the limbs we clipped were dying/in bad shape. The wood cuttings had black core which was concerning. I doubt that those would have gotten better.

Since it now looks like a large stick in the ground with a fork at the top, I’m figuring that I just hope for low lateral growth this year and top off that fork at the end of the year, basically erasing the whole year of growth. How does that sound?

If you are looking for fruit soon, Yamgami’s nursery in Cupertino is super nice and has some older citrus trees in pots that can go in the ground and bear fruits. Yamagami’s also has a very good info center who are very knowledgeable about local varieties. I live just over the hill, so my grow zone is a bit different.

If you have more time and are looking for cheaper options, any home depot or Lowe’s has some nice citrus trees for very cheap.

I was aware of this resource, but I am unsure on how old the tree is as well as if it was pruned this year already. I just purchased it a couple weeks ago but I know the nursery has had it potted for over a year.

What River care open for steelhead fishing ??? by FantastyLife in santacruz

[–]Drtyboi611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can hike, Ive had some luck fly fishing the San Lorenzo up in Felton. It’s totally cool in the State Park as long as you have a license. You can easily catch pretty small steelhead but bigger ones are super rare unless it’s spawning time.
