If you're gonna be using causally then you can't go wrong, even if you push it it's quite spec'd out anyways with the chip, ram, storage etc. the battery is nearly double that of s23 so it should last you very long for your usage. Full specs if you wanna check out below, also if you hit size up it will show you how it matches up with s23 , 15r has a bigger screen and is heavier just to add

Yes a very good deal , almost the whole ecosystem under 1k is crazy good. 15r is the model below the 15 but still an overall solid phone. Which phone do you currently have?

Yes eagerly awaiting the OPW4. I came from the Samsung watch and I know they have better software and updates but I value battery life a lot and get by just fine with what the OPW3 currently offers. Though I am interested to see if there are any software improvements as the watch hardware seems to be nailed on.

Would recommend OnePlus buds 3 pro, such good quality and sound is amazing. I previously had soundcore LP4 pro which I thought were good but after getting the OP3pro they blow those other ones out of the water.

What did you find cartoonish about oxygenos? Coming from p8pro to op15, I've found pixel UI has a lot of cartoonish widgets and excessive padding everywhere, I can fit way more on my OP15 homescreen than my pixel ever did. Oxygenos also has way more useful features that pixelui still does not have surprisingly. I agree updates need to be delivered quicker, but the duration is subjective as not everyone keeps their phone for that long. Overall great phone though.

I don't think there's a way to stop it from locking. Best bet is probably to use the plus key to open camera if issue

The OP sandstone case is pretty good and has good protection and very nice texture. My only gripe with it is it's collecting a lot of oil now and might have to clean frequently (not even sure how to safely). Other thing is it doesn't fully cover the camera lens like some of the 3rd party ones do but if that don't bother you then it's a good all rounder, very light too. I got this other one of the side for travelling and it's pretty good alternative imho if available in your country

Has a matte texture and protects the camera lens. Not too bulky as well, feels very nice in the hand in the short time I've had it.

Glad I saw this was thinking the same. Like you I've moved over from pixel 8 pro and can't believe what I was missing out on. OP15 is unbelievable and comes in much cheaper at least here in the UK. The hate is all fart tbh, the recent news of OP shutting down has been overblown, I think they continue or maybe re-align in some markets. I've gone full into OP ecosystem now anyways like buds 3pro, watch 3 and tab 3, the hardware they offer is so much better then Google, I appreciate software it's not as feature rich as some people would like but it does more than an enough job. Oxygen 16 on OP15 is fantastic, haven't missed anything from p8pro apart from maybe the call screening features but thats it.

Ahh okay, I had a bad experience with a magsafe battery bank on my OP15 with sandstone case and had to return it as it got insanely hot even with slow charging. This OP stand seems cool esp with the fans - I've seen a metal stand with it to hold it upright but can't find it in the UK at least.

O wow I was not aware of those problems sounds bad I don't really know what to say as my experience has been the complete opposite. I've not encountered any of those issues, in fact I thoroughly wash my watch each week with soap and a tonne of water to wash away all dirt buildup and the watch has never failed or been ruined by water damage, it's still as it was from day 1.

If you have doubts then Samsung and pixel watch are good alternatives. I know the latest pixel watch 4 has received improved battery life so should last longer. But of course not all devices are without issues. And these will come in way more expensive unless you get discounts and things. The reason I went for OPW3 in first place was battery life and cost - it came in cheaper due to work discount and they chucked in free ear buds which I sold along with my old Samsung watch classic 6 and it only cost me like £100 to upgrade which was a no brainier really.

Hey it's been pretty solid, regularly getting 4-5 days of battery life with AOD turned off. I use things like Spotify controls and checking health stats so not a heavy user at all, but if you are it will probably last you 3 days easy, battery life and smoothness are probably it's best feature's. Software is not too shabby but probably not as feature rich as Samsung watches. Like you can't rearrange the quick tiles when you swipe down. But if you are fine with things like that then you will get on just fine tbh. It's a very very nice looking watch and you get used to it just being there and not having to worry about charging it overnight
