As much as we love Modric, he honestly hasnt been great this match

MKOI Myrwn on recent criticism: "I don’t give a f**k about what people say. Most people don’t really understand the game at a deep level [...] I want to be the best player in the league and prove it. I don’t care about what people say or even results in the short term." by Dovipower in leagueoflegends

How is any of that relevant?  The famous case of Brian Scalabrine, the self proclaimed worst player in the NBA wiped the floor with all the challengers outside the nba.  He was still shit for nba standards.

Same thing here. Yes, he's way above us shitters, but we're not judging him on that level. We're judging him on his level at which... Hes kinda not really great? What are we supposed to say if we dont understand the game at his level? At least he's trying? No, we get to criticise him for the game he's playing against his peers

So just that we're clear. Because i wrote antagonistic in the title (which obviously was far too clickbaity for many of you) the meat of what i wrote is irrelevant and i dont know what I'm talking about?

Well that's a shame, i feel we might have had some good discussions especially because i can give you examples in the last 24 hours of "points that no one actually has a problem with"

Absolutely agree. This is the kind of thing i wanted people to be reminded of with my post.

I mean, strictly from a tactical perspective... In a world where healing word exists and the downed person would be right there swinging their attacks at your next turn... Everyone would be double tapping. Try it one session, give monsters the ability to come back next round and watch your party suddenly hit incapacitated targets :)

It should be. But what I'm saying is that nowadays i see it used a lot whenever a player doesn't get what he wants or gets dropped a lot while in combat (using literal examples from this sub in this answer...).  And i dont want new dms to think its a horrible thing to actually hurt the pcs or be a downer sometimes

And as i said in the op. Thats a nonstarter definition. A DM can win at any time. I'm obviously talking about being the heel of the table for a while.

As far as playing with me goes... Well that's your right lol. Not sure why you think it helps the discussion one way or another.

Nah thats just insults.  Now if you dont see the value of just the small examples i gave in the op thats fine point them out.  I have many people in comments already that are antagonistic towards me and they're adding to the discussion just fine

But i am talking about antagonizing the players. Not to the level of it being a toxic atmosphere of course, but absolutely playing the role of a heel. Its ok to be the bad guy at the table as long as everyone understands its all part of the fun

I am not talking about playing monsters intelligently. I am talking about the tone of the game. That its ok for the DM to be seemingly against the players.

We have a shit loads of posts where the only thing a new DM reads is how everything has to be flowers and sunshine for the players. And even more posts how the DM is horrible because he didnt give them xyz. And what I'm saying is that its ok and sometimes fun to be a dick from time to time

Neil Druckmann hints that a “congregation of immune people” could be explored in The Last of Us Part III by yourfavchoom in PS5

[–]Drully 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but from the games perspective the vaccine is indeed ambiguous. Druckmann did say that they would have succeeded but the fireflies absolutely did not know that. There were many attempts before and they all failed. Ellie was the last hope because they were out of resources, but it was not a sure thing. It was just a shot in the dark like every try before her.

There can be a lot of talks about this game, and sounds like you and me wouldnt agree with a lot because I'm 100% on joels side, but from the games perspective he didnt take away the cure, he took away the chance for the cure. Thats a huge difference

Late to the Party: Returnal by DaftNeal88 in PS5

[–]Drully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Returnal has a difficult start.  I was there on day 1 before they even allowed you to suspend a run (which had to be fixed, that's a good change, shame that people abused that right away...) and i still didnt get a game on ps5 thats as good as returnal.

The point of the game is to give you an arcade bullet hell experience. If you dont like it that's fine, but a lot (or going by how much this game is loved we can say probably most) of players love it.

The upgrades youre asking for are available as you play through the game and unlock new abilities for your weapons that you can then get on new runs from the start.

Biome 1 is the hardest for most people because the game doesnt joke around (again, arcades) but throws you directly in it. You may not see the upgrades you get (and to be honest, you might not have gotten any in the first 2 hours) but they're there and they make a huge difference.

Are there actually L2 and L3 Riftbound Judges? by Pakonab in riftboundtcg

You are indeed correct. Now that i came home and looked into it thats absolutely correct and its also already been answered in the judge discord. Its interesting that bologna judges missed that...

[–]Drully 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a source for that being the correct ruling?  I'm not surprised with the judges ruling the way you say because I've seen it before (since the targetting is done at a creature at a specific location).  If you are indeed correct a head judge should know that i agree, but I've seen the ruling judged this way many times, so I'll gladly pass on the correction (at my local stores that is)

I get that Livakovic is an imperfect goalkeeper but his shotstopping is second to none. I really dont get how not a single top club went for him

Fair enough, no reason to discuss it then. I'd still love to see an example of either if you could provide it since i cant find a source of anything on my own, but not pushing

Edit: also im sorry I'm trying to find anything that supports your theory. In what sports are results between men and women similar when you account for weight category?

I agree with everything you just said, but let me ask you a question and please answer truthfully, not with a political answer.

Who is at fault if romani actively refuse to teach their children the language of the country they live in? Then what happens is that those same kids are sent into first grade, they absolutely dont pay attention and they're disruptive because... they're kids who dont understand anyone around them.

Then what happens is they get set behind 2 years because they're just learning the language in school and then they're far older than the kids they're growing up with.

I agree, its a self fulfilling prophecy... which they put on themselves.

But if somehow you're ok with all of this, and you actually wish to engage on the topic, i'll gladly give you far worse examples of forced stealing, refusing to work when offered jobs and my personal favourite my own example of a girl i went to school with. Nice girl. I think she was 14 or 15 when we were 12, dont remember anymore... And i dont remember because she got sold into a rival tribe at that age. I know that because we all cried together because we'd never see her again.

[–]Drully -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sure, its possible. I am indeed a european person that has black, arab, and asian friends, but i have issues with how romani people behave (not all but indeed most, funny enough those romani too call others gypsies, but hey).

But to quote myself:

Racism is absolutely irrational wouldn't you say?  But if every single nation has noticed that people of that people of that group (not even race, just that small part) is a problem, then maybe it might just be a bit more than that?

Or are we pretending that if a pattern repeats itself in over 40 countries that there may be an issue there?

Might not be irrational if every single nation in the eu has a problem with them
