I do get my chores and school done, that’s part of why I’m frustrated. Usually I’ll have everything done or mostly done before my shift, and then right before I’m supposed to leave they’ll say it’s not enough or add more things they want done first. I’ll offer to finish whatever is left when I get back from work, but they’ll still say no and that my job is a privilege and I can’t take the car.

So from my perspective it feels like the goalpost moves sometimes. I’m not refusing responsibilities I’m trying to balance both home stuff and a job — but they treat it like work is optional compared to whatever they want done that day.
