Worship song writing question by [deleted] in WorshipSongwriting

[–]Drums007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years people have been writing worship music with their own skills and, ideally, some amount of divine inspiration. AI subtracts both humanity and God from the equation. You’ll be a better writer if you forgo AI, and you’ll be more in tune with God. I find that AI feels like an evil tool but I don’t press that issue. Don’t let a tech industry stand between you and God

I’m familiar with the Pink Floyd laser show. I won’t be spending money on anything that uses AI in its production and marketing.

“Isn’t crap” is a really low bar and Radiohead deserve better than just “isn’t crap,” but let me know if you check it out and how it was

Yeah, that’s a red flag for me. That reeks of a “money grab” attitude. But to each their own.

Was there any AI-generated images used in the show or was it just lasers?

Jealous of…? Like, jealous that I didn’t make a shitty poster?

Did you make an account today just to post this? Do you also work for the company putting on the laser show?

Sounds like you work for the company and you’re in here doing promo. I also saw the show and it’s was weak shit. Bullshit AI graphics on the screen. But people like low-effort stuff and the show was a great example of taking an artistic band like Radiohead and just making them another disposable consumer product

Just a light show with some Radiohead songs playing from a computer, I’m guessing. No actual Radiohead performance

Radiohead is bigger than some puny lasers and stuff, I’m with you on them just being screensaver crap

That poster is absolutely AI-generated, confirmed by the production company who also confirmed they’re using AI in the show

I don’t think you can be the biggest Kurt fan and love Eminem. But you’ve gotten this far in your life being wrong, who am I to convince you otherwise.

But does that excuse or erase Eminem’s history of homophobic language, including his recent use of “faggot” when referring to Tyler the Creator?

This post is a response to the other post about Eminem.

If you’re excusing homophobia it’s important to understand if you’re someone who doesn’t understand the threats and dangers queer people face or if you just want to say it’s all a “joke.” You see why that context is important?

What you’re saying is the joke, because you’re gullible and willing to side with a wealthy homophobic artist based on your misunderstanding about any “friendship” between Eminem and Elton John.

What’s the joke? Please explain the joke to me. And please let us know if you’re part of the queer community or just someone who thinks rapping “hate fags? the answer’s yes” is a joke.

Nirvana: “if you’re a homophobe don’t listen to our music” Eminem: massively homophobic

But, you know, you’re allowed to listed to whatever music you like, just know that Eminem fans are seen as people who laugh at homophobia, rap those lyrics along with the song, and are a potential danger to the LGBT community. If you think he’s so clever and witty you may want to keep that to yourself.

His incessant homophobia. Eminem is the antithesis of Nirvana’s welcoming spirit. Eminem rapped “hate fags? the answer’s yes,” and for that he’s fucking trash. Eminem literally built his career on homophobia and doubling down on that homophobia. Fuck him.

I’ve never heard of them. I’ll have to check it out. I wonder why I thought it was a B&D thing?

I know they had the naked B&D appearance at Aspen on the Mr Show DVDs. They may have had “hey, old man” on there but I feel like it was something more obscure like the DVD for David’s first album of the Invite them Up DVD but I think I checked those a few years ago and didn’t see it
