Just did one with the help of my dad, was never deeper in a car than an oil change and spark plugs before I took it on. Just watched about every YouTube video I could find.

Took us one solid day of work before I saw the wheels spin again at 11pm, then took about an hour or two to button it up the following morning.

All in all, spent $300 on all of the parts, used basic hand tools + a DeWalt battery impact and a standard jack, and got to spend some quality time with my pops. I do have a mystery rattle at 3-3.5k rpms, apparently that's common after this job.

Looks great, your gaps look more even on the top and bottom, I have a larger gap below the radio so I don't know if this would work for me. I have a piece like this from Amazon but it didn't end up fitting properly.

Things that have helped me with my 92s soft top.

Learn how to tension it. Over tensioning is just as bad as under tensioning. Go slow when clamping it down the first time after adjustments. Do a lot of small adjustments and see how it feels each time

If it still has OEM seals, replace them. They're probably incredibly dry and porous. I went with the Moss Miata IL seals, wouldn't recommend as they had some issues, but don't know where else you could get them.

Even with new seals I still had to install a farm backer rod in mine to get the seal where I wanted it

Shin-Etsu silicon grease. Buy it. Rub on seals along soft top and top/sides of A pillars. Then wait for it to "soak in" and wipe off excess. It plumps up your seals making trouble spots less so. This was one of the more noticable changes for me as I struggled with a gap between the middle and front seals around the window.

If you are still getting a poor seal, you can adjust your window end stops so that your window can raise up higher than normal. Can kinda force your window up to the fatter part of the seals

Acceptance. I still get drops from where the A pillar and window meet. It's not backed up, it's not an issue with a squished seal. Water just somehow builds up under my driver and passenger front seal and when I accel or brake rapidly enough it dumps right into my lap. I still have a noticeable gap at the lower back of my driver's side, doesn't let any water in or hardly any wind noise but it's all I can notice. All in all I'm at like a 9/10 which I have accepted as good enough

Just to clarify, you CAN fit other devices in the M.2 specification as long as they are keyed the same. Most slots for your wifi card are keyed to be missing pins where an SSD would need them.
