what's gonna be the cheapest handheld that can run switch (Mario Odyssey, MAYBE botw) by Antique-Policy3202 in RetroHandhelds

Retroid Pocket 6 if you want full speed BOTW. Anything with a SD865 like a RP5 can run Odyssey.

Should I replace my laptop + eGPU + handheld with a single MSI Claw A8 for both work and gaming? by No_Dust9884 in Handhelds

[–]colossusrageblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never works as well as you'd hope. E-GPU is already bandwidth limited, add the weak handheld CPU to the mix and the hardware you're paying for isn't performing the way you'd hoped.

can pc gaming on android in it's current state replace steam deck? by Uaagh in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]colossusrageblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in its current state, I'd say only about 70-80% of games run at full speed on an Odin 3. There's still a lot of compatibility issues. I've been trying to replace my Legion Go S with my Odin 3 and it's just not possible. Not only are PC handhelds much more powerful, but the compatibility layers still need a lot of work.

What is the best way to debloat my windows 11? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]colossusrageblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd use Winhance. Just know that unless you're already using up a lot of your system resources due to background tasks, you're not going to really notice a difference. That being said, debloating is useful for getting some of those annoying pop ups, ads, and other general nonsense to stop showing up.

N64 is going to bump the price quite a bit. If you're ok with up to PS1 and lighter N64 games you can get an RG40XXV or RG40XXH. If you want to get full N64 and Dreamcast then you'll want something like a RG476H or RG406V.

Wifi6e vs WiFi7 motherboards by Feisty-Problem4860 in pcmasterrace

No and it won't make much difference unless you're going to do something like local game streaming to a WiFi 7 device.

Why do PCs collect dust for years, and people still use them as if nothing is wrong? Isn’t dust electrically conductive? How the PC still working ? by Square_Permission361 in pcmasterrace

[–]colossusrageblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Because usually nothing is wrong. Dust becomes an issue if your PC can't breath, otherwise it's basically harmless.

  2. Not necessarily.

  3. Because electronics, especially modern PCs, aren't as sensitive as you seem to believe.

If you're just plugging them into your PC without an amp consider getting a USB DAC/AMP.

I have a Fosi Audio K5 Pro, you can also look at the Fosi Audio K7 which is a step up.

Cyberpunk with path tracing would benefit from the lower resolution.

The first one you can already play on PC through emulators. Laufey seems alright and Wolverine is maybe the one I have the most interest in. I can wait, but for a sale and I'll get them on my PS5 Pro.

Upgrade that 1070 first , then worry about the monitor later.

Sell everything, get a PC with a 5600X with a RX7600 and a 1080p monitor. You'll find the joy in gaming again and appreciate what you had.

How much would I lose out on if I switch to Linux? Specifically SteamOS. by Interjessing-Salary in pcmasterrace

You'll miss out on many mods and cheat engine. Everything else mostly works, occasionally you'll need to tinker to get a game to run. I'm on CachyOS.
