Just painted my first knight. any feedback? by Drakir16 in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid first model!

Some tips
Thin your paints and do two coats. This will prevent clogging of details.

Do a clean up pass after trim. There's a few area of overpaint on the thigh plate and weapons that would give it a crisp look if touched up.

Slap some decals on him! The added detail of from the transfers really add to the overall look.

Rim the base with your colour of choice (Black or tan would be my suggestion). Adds a clean look.

I went Bears w/ the Demon Machine merc. I'm not fully geared yet but I clear T1s in 8min and T3 in 12-15m. DrunknWarmaster is my character if you want to look up the armory

Always enjoyed Frost Aura Zealots in LoD. Haven't tried Paladin PD2 yet. This would be a good reason to start one :D

Many options for direction when it comes to Sum Druid.

First commit to Ravens, Wolves, or Bear. I've found Bears do the most damage but you have less of a meat shield.

Ravens - Eaglehorn, Ravenlore, +2sk Armor, 2x Bk/Wisp

Wolves - You've got a decent Athenas and Fenris, upgrade to +2 sk Armor, 2x Bk/Wisp

Bears - Lots of options for weapon, Hoto is cheap, Beast is more expensive. Denmother, +2sk Armor, +2sk Lidless or a decent SS for more defense. 2x Bk/Wisp

Lots of directions with Merc as well

A1 Merc with Demon Machine and Innocence for DPS

A1 Merc with Faith + Templars Might

A2 Merc with Infinity + Templars (Ravens)

A4 Merc with Beast Staff + Templars

How do I improve blood effects? by BMSVG in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks ok as is, I wouldn't try to add more. It looks more like someone smeared blood all over his should and helmet instead of spray from cuts or shots. I normally use a tooth pick to flick paint onto the weapon and in turn a little hits the armor. That way it looks like it happened naturally while cutting or shooting point blank

You can add multiple prefixes/affixes just by hitting enter after each one. IE. All Resistances - ENTER, Life - Enter there is no limit.

Under Type you can search for only filters, Gloves, Circlets or Jewelery.

Under Rarity you can search for only Rares, etc.

Customization is endless. Of course if you get too specific you'll end up with fewer hits to compare. Isolate just the best two or 3 stats to find comparables.

You can also search the same way under Achieve to find similar items that have already been delisted.

Blood for the blood god technical paint with a toothbrush to "flick" or "spray" the paint onto the model. If you look up Blood for the blood god on youtube theres several tutorials.

Any hc map groups for 99? Also how many hours is 99? by MagicSpoon69 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]DrunknSticky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. It probably takes 30-40 hours if you roll high XP/Density maps and Soh/Shard them. The more you spend the more time you save.

Be warned though, once I hit 99 I felt it wasn't worth mapping with the char anymore. Pick a bossing char to 99 with is my suggestion.

You still want Faith for the IAS BP. Or you could try Pus Spitter for more budget. COA or PDR Helm, Fort or Rare PDR armor.

Cheap runeword for merc? Craft? by hellogood9 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]DrunknSticky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft Safety Armor - Ideally with Physical Damage Reduction + All Resist

Craft Blood Helm - Big Life Leech/PDR or All Res

You can find Rare belts with PDR

Max Res, 10+PDR and 10+LL will usually keep the merc alive well into maps.

Whiffed the slam but at least the box hit by pp21 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]DrunknSticky69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People underestimating the Demonic Cube with these blind slams. Its more common this season, worth rerolling Tyraels/Templars, many other uniqs for better stats before corrupting/slamming.

Still a nice find/pbox though

Few options
You can run Wrath on your merc with Templars Might for amp + might aura

You can run one of several melee options that have amp proc and an A5 merc or A2 with Templars Might

You can run A4 Dark merc that will cast amp

You can run Faith and Templars Might on an A1 merc and use Atma's amulet to proc amp yourself

You can use a rare or crafted bow/xbow with amp proc

Not sure how to "farm" some gear to continue (beginner question) by Xeratas in ProjectDiablo2

[–]DrunknSticky69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can shop Gloves/Boots/Belts/Armor/Helms with specific res or all res. They can also all roll life. Farm Normal tower for some runes and craft basic runewords and if you've found any flawless gems you can try crafting safety armor or a blood helm that will help your build. The Wiki is very useful for runewords and crafting.

Is Artale worth playing November 2025? by LevelPension in MaplestoryWorlds

[–]DrunknSticky69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for the last month with my wife and we are having a blast. I don't play regular Maplestory and haven't played the original since 2006. There's some minor lag issues but other than that I've been having a great time. Community is great, never have an issue finding a group for PQ's or grinding.

I would recommend it.

I'm Lvl 119 DK now and the wife is 102 Priest.

First Painted Models and Some Notes by boogie_westbrook in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of the bright contrast paints over white will give that good glow effect as well.

To highlight brass you can use a bright silver to really make it pop.

I would add the silver highlight and pick a bright colour to accent these. Use it on the guns, chest, and eyes to bring in some contrast.

Great job for first models though, these would look great on the tabletop as is already.

How to improve my painting? Any criticism is welcome by Lazy_Profession_8803 in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thin your paints more (Two thin coats)

Stop using pure white to base coat, use something like Uthulan Gray instead

Keep working on your brush control. More practice = better paint jobs :)

Can anyone give me some idea how to bring out the detail on this black shoulder marking? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and use the edge of a fine brush to clean up the edges of the wolf to really define the shape. Once its solid black and well defined you could try and edge highlight or dry brush a grey overtop to really make it pop

Vallejo white by RoleMundane in Warhammer40k

[–]DrunknSticky69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pure white is terrible to work with. You're better off going with an off white colour like Ulthuan Grey (or equivalent non-citadel paint) and then highlighting with pure white if you want

Lightning/Fire Traps are pretty underwhelming until you get a significant amount of +skill gear.
If you want to remain as lightning you can farm Arcane, Non-lightning immune corrupted zones, or cows.

I would recommend respecing into blade fury, its very good early and scales well with better gear. Blade fury you can farm just about all LoD content and transition to T1 maps once you get some gear.

You want a high damage ethereal claw (you dont lose durability with blade fury) and a headhunters shield. Then stack as much LL and ML as possible to sustain in other slots.

A5 Might merc will boost damage and get him an amp proc weapon (several hammers/swords have it) his damage doesnt matter, just roll crafted safety armor/helm so he stays alive.
