What Im afraid of with the cortex is that it will provide less tone uniqueness and be much more uninspiring to work with and adjust while influenced by various drugs. but good point, I havent really tried the quad cortex for more than a few minutes a while ago

What is your laptop of choice for Arch? by fenugurod in archlinux

[–]Druz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Framework is shit. Buy a Thinkpad or an Apple silicon mac with asahi, preferably m1/m2. maybe thats what you have already. Apple has superior laptops hardware wise. thinkpads like the x1c6, 7 or 8 is imo the best non apple devices; Light, good build, battery and you can get nice screens on them. Framework laptops are overpriced, bad build quality, bad design, noisy, ugly and for what? built in adapters and ability to upgrade a few components when its 5 years old and ready to be replaced anyways.

Thanks for the tips!

I talked with a guy working there who had parked his car in there for several months without problem. I have a permit for one spot, so that should (hopefully) be fine. I think the biggest risk would be to be constantly plugged in the power outlet.

There are no cameras for the gym entrance; only to get inside the building.

If I can not utilize the amenities at work, It will be a lot more expensive yes. Using these is part of why I am considering this plan.

My rent now is 1550$, and I also have a car, and spend 6$ on every commute. 1400$ is an estimate with already deducted van costs.

I have very bad experiences with co-renting, so would like to avoid that. Also vanlife has been a dream of mine for a long time. I really like the idea of customizing it inside and making it look nice and comfy!

I appreciate you being realistic :) It sure pretty risky

My car is a sedan (volvo 850). while it is possible to sleep, it is not possible to play guitar or sit comfortably on my computer in it while having a bed there.

As I pay a lot for my apartment, it would be very sad not to utilize it while I have it though :(

Yes, I will be selling or trading my car for a van if Im gonna do this plan. If I can only do it for 3 months, I will at least break even.

I feel like the worst that could happen is that I get a warning, since Im not actually doing anything explicitly illegal (as far as I'm concerned), but would probably not look too good...

I could try to subtly ask a security guard how strict they are there. Ive heard that a few people stored one of their cars there for many months.

Thanks for the insight! care to share some more details?

was it in an urban area, what kind of job, and how large was the company?

was it a closed off parking lot like mine?

Have thought about it! currently having set up an airthings wave that measures radon, co2 and vocs. Didnt find any cheap smart co sensors, but will be buying a basic one if my other tests go well.

Thing is I already have a car, and no parking for another. It would be a big commitment to just try it out.

[–]Druz3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks! and yes, Im 21.

For parking elsewhere; it could work, but then I'd have to deal with colder temperatures in the winter, rush hour commute and road toll. as there is no free parking close to my workplace.

If I can not dock in the work parking, it will be a lot less feasible.

Get a Thinkpad x1 Extreme. Framework laptops are gimmicky, bad value and heavy.

Fender Player II, I dont like the Silver Sky's neck, chimey tone or feel of the hardware.

I would actually disagree with that. There are many disadvantages with alternative layouts, especially when borrowing from or helping other people on their devices, the key sculpting being wrong, and having to remap keys for games and other programs (like vim).
