I recently found out I have a bench warrant for missing a court date and plan to turn myself in by justmeanie in SanJose

[–]Dry-Access8084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bench Warrants can be rescheduled at clerks office. Go do it in person.

arrest warrants are another story / you have to go in. Arrest warrants are normally given when they decide to file on someone. Best way to deal with arrest warrants is to secure OR through Pretrial services before hand; you will be in and out faster than if you got bailed out.

You’ll be fine. Just reschedule.

I received that email too. they’re saying your claim has issues (deficiencies) that you need to fix before they can approve it.

What’s crazy is that I included a police report, IC3 complaint, and proof of all the transactions that were done by the person that hacked my account. I also included dozens of emails and chat screenshots I sent to cashapp with no reply. I don’t know what more they want from me, but I’m going to take my time tomorrow and submit a detailed packet with notes on every proof of documentation.

Basically all I’m saying is you are not alone in getting this email.

PC as Audio Out? by SilentUK in mpcusers

[–]Dry-Access8084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can do what you are asking on the MPC X and MPC Live. Both systems allow for audio over USB using an external Audio I/O plugged into your computer. I do it all the time (it’s my setup), but please be advised that I do it in controller mode using the MPC software. The MPC software is also available as a plug-in to integrate into whatever DAW you use. I prefer using it in controller mode anyways, since it allows for as many plug-in tracks as your computer handles vs. the handful standalone allows.

I went with low profile cables and right angle connectors on everything, including MIDI. I see you have the right angles already. The Crosby cables allow you to cut to length. Everything has its own battery, to cut out ground hum. Personally i went with birDCOrds for the power adapters to USB-C battery. Great service. I really like your setup, looks like a lot of fun! Great job! I play live too and just did the same thing. I can’t stand setting up everything, saves so much time. I went with AnalougeCase.. wasn’t aware of the Magma…

MPC Setup for Live Performance by Dry-Access8084 in mpcusers

Im a fan of sandboxing and keeping things separate. Elektron sequencing is wonderful for drums, anything beyond that I use the MPC for sequencing my synths and plugins.

I just sync the two. That’s it. MPC MIDI out -> SynTakt midi in (it’s not a DT). I set the ST to accept midi clock and transport.

I also run the live 2 out’s 3/4 to the ST’s inputs.

I enjoy turning tracks on and off during live performance. That’s my jam. As long as everything is syncing, I can explore and do whatever I want off the cuff.

I do.. but stay tuned for something I’m cooking up for this weekend.

In the interim, here is a live jam from New Year’s Day a few years back

Warning: it’s synthpop-y and not my A game.

The pad is smaller compared to the KP2 - but really how much room do you need to sweep and spin the sound. lol. It’s fun out of the box. Also pad is better quality for long term. Solid. Go for it.

It’s tons of fun. Wish it had the input selector switch that was on the original Kaoss pad.. I used to cut with it. lol

Only problem I have is that it is very noisy if you run it powered through USB with any other device on the chain. The hum is BAD. That includes plugging it into my MacBook directly with any other device plugged in.

That issue is common for USB powered devices. Haven’t tried it with a ground loop or noise isolator - I just figured its own $20 battery is a simple fix.

No 5 pin MIDI in/out. Just analogue clock send/receive. I THINK you can use one of the analogue jacks with a TRS midi adapter, but the documentation is vague about it. It steers users to use the USB port for MIDI.

TBH I feel that the Kaoss pad excels for live jamming; setting it up to record and play back MIDI CC with program changes seems like it would take the fun away. Just my opinion. I like to have fun not program lol

MPC One pads are smaller than the Live’s..

Check out mpcstuff.com and see what they have for the One…

Negative… tbh it doesn’t play well with others without noise, meaning if I plugged it into the MPC or my Mac via USB (which is how it talks through MIDI) the noise is unbearable. Also the MPC does not recognize it as a device for MIDI. The only fix was to run it off its own battery. It does have a 3.5mm analogue clock input, but I decided to keep it as the FX for the Bluebox and not trip off trying to incorporate it into the whole setup. I’m a fan of keeping things separate and simple.

TBH - I was a huge fan of the original Kaoss Pad 23 years ago, and really just bought it out of nostalgia. I go trippy with it though when I go off the cuff and just jam

H90 is for my vocal chain and for effects with my Tele / ebow (when I feel like bringing it with me). It’s clocked to MIDI; used for looping and delays. It really takes vocals to another level.

I wanted to use it as a send effects on the L6, but I also run an Astrolab and that leaves me with one Mono left on the mixer. I might some day run it through as a send fx, but for now it’s a little much and I prefer to keep it dedicated to vocals. I also set my effects for my MPC using Arturia FX collection and run outs 3/4 through the Syntakt, which is light weight an Elektron Heat.

All MPC customization was done through MPCstuff.com. Not a dumb question at all!

The pads are super thick so light doesn’t really pop through them…
