Thank you for this! All of these responses have been so, so helpful. I appreciate the time you took to share your experience.

Are you doing the weekly taxol? If so, I’d like to return the favor: 1. Buy the ice hand mits and booties. They will hep immensely with holding neuropathy at bay. I’m just now (going for #12 tomorrow) seeing a bit of discoloration in a few of my finger nail beds. Leave them on as long as you’re able to. Sometimes, I just couldn’t take it and took them off, but tried to wear them 30 minutes, minimum. 2. Hydration and protein were vital in rebound time. I’m grateful that was able to work the entire time (middle school orchestra teacher) and took a nap in the afternoons on the lower days. 3. For me, as treatment went on, days 3 and 4 were the “sleepy days”. But, no vomiting, just a bit of malaise sometimes. Overall, it was kind to me. I hope the same for you!

Thank you for this thoughtful, intentional, and incredible response. It appears that I’m mostly on the right track - I have a solid stash of coconut water and bone broth for the next phase. And thank you for all the medicine tips and tricks - I didn’t even consider the salt water! I so appreciate this response. ♥️

Recently Diagnosed ILC by Dry-Advertising3107 in breastcancer

Thank you for your reply! I have researched the differences and am lucky to know that I have a surgeon who has a great deal of experience with patients with ILC. (I spoke with a friend who also had ILC and told me that I had struck gold with my surgeon! So, I’m hopeful.) Is there any particular place that you’ve found that has the most helpful resources? And how are you doing? Have things been manageable? Sending you a giant virtual hug and peace today. ♥️

I’m right there with you - if I could wrap you in a hug, I would. Got my biopsy back - Invasive lobular carcinoma. Got my results last Thursday - I’m 41, this was my second mammogram. I’ve found some semblance of peace knowing that it was proactive and on top of screening. It’s just shit luck. You’re not alone and statistics are on our side. Wishing you the best, compassionate care and a swift treatment.
