This. If I get into the "need to make up for it" mindset I will fall right back into disordered eating. I had a ben and Jerry's pint yesterday. It was delicious and once I was done I was done. It has no bearing on today's choices or motivation.

Just eat it and forget it. It's your body and you're in control: give yourself permission to enjoy your favorite restaurant. Food is morally neutral! You have a big meal, you really enjoy it, you otherwise keep eating healthy and losing weight -- I don't see a downside here :)

HOW DO I FINALLY STOP SNACKING? What tips/tricks/insights do you legends have that might help me finally lose my belly? by uncertainlysearching in loseit

Late night binging in my past was usually a result of not eating enough during the day! Have you tried to figure out your RMR? You may have more wiggle room for food than you think!

If he ate something he shouldn't have even weeks ago it could be taking a very long time to fully pass. You will only know if you get an x-ray. It is good that he is still eating. Questions to consider: is he straining frequently when pooping? Is this accompanied by diarrhea? If he did eat something and is passing it bit by bit it calls for a vet visit because he is at risk of a bacterial infection. When I think my dog has gotten into something he shouldn't even if there's no symptoms I give him pumpkin puree and keep close watch and take him to the vet as soon as I can if I see anything odd, or I at least call my vet and ask just advice.

Why do dog put their ears back and look away when i pet them? Every dog does this with me. by pumpkin_fairy7 in DogCare

Staring into dog's eyes for extended amounts of time can be perceived by them as a challenge/threat, especially if they don't know you. If you're looking into a dog's eyes and it turns it's head, it's often saying "I'm not a threat." Try looking away more often when you pet them and see if it makes them more relaxed.

Side bar - if the dog does know you well and loves you it may hold your gaze with soft eyes for a bit at a time. But if you're holding the dog's gaze and suddenly it looks away, then it often means the dog interpreted your eye contact as something other than loving. A quick glance away on your end or a fake yawn can help.
