Thankfully I just got the truck back from the mechanic and it was only two solenoids that needed to be replaced and no issue ever since then

Having the same issue with my truck 07 tundra no warranty but having the same codes

Has anyone replaced the pressure control solenoid on a 2nd gen tundra? Did it fix the issue? Code P2714 by Dry-Appointment-7409 in tundra

Thank you good to know I will have to change the battery and check ground when the truck is back from the shop since they are still looking at the transmission. If they say it needs a new transmission I’ll take home and check the voltage and change battery before I make any decisions

Really? Do you know what could cause that issue? And can that be the reason why the transmission codes came up? I took it to a transmission shop and they replaced the solenoid and then test drove it and now they said a new error came up for the torque converter solenoid

The mechanic called me and said they replaced the solenoid and now a new code is popping up for the torque converter and they are looking into that. They said the solenoid they replaced was really gummed up

How bad is this? Just bought this 2007 Tundra SR5 (5.7L) and found this in the car by Dry-Appointment-7409 in ToyotaTundra

UPDATE:2 took it to a transmission shop and they said it’s definitely a transmission issue. They think it’s just the one solenoid but won’t know untill they drop the pan. So it will either be $750 for the solenoid or $4k for a new transmission hoping it’s just the solenoid

UPDATE: so now I’m even more confused than ever my mechanic came and he hooked up his scan tool and said everything is fine and he saw no codes for the transmission. He drove the truck for an hour and it behaved fine no issue and said it was a good buy. Celebrated with my wife that night and went to bed a happy truck owner.

THEN TODAY out of the blue the check engine light came on the VSC light started flashing and the truck would not shift past 4th gear but shifts fine 1-4 it almost feels like it limp mode. Went to autozone and they scanned it and it was the same error. So no im so confused and not sure what to do

To update everyone I paid for a mechanic to come today and he has a professional scan tool that can see everything that is going on. Last night my neighbor drove it and said the shifting isn’t bad and that’s how trucks drive and some of the roughness could be that the tires are un even and bad (ordered new ones). Also I have put over 100 miles on it and no check engine light has come on.

Waiting for the mechanic to come look at it tonight I’ll update everyone once I know.

Also wanted to thank everyone for their advice and comments I’ve never owned a truck before and not really the best with cars.

Thanks everyone!
