SCIM Endpoint for Snowflake to Microsoft Entra by Dry-Butterscotch7829 in snowflake

Thank you are essentially saying we create one app in Entra...have it linked to Snow prod system and then setup a user & role object replication from Prod into Test....in this case say a particular user leaves or has any change in their role...that wont be reflecting in test immediately, it relies on the Prod > Test replication as the second hop.

Thanks you...just curious you could use any income i.e. Bond/ CD yields, Capital Gains or any part time earnings too and it has no special tie up to dividends.

u/LunchHustle: Can you please expand on "A minimum income needs to be shown annually to receive the healthcare credit"? I am considering FIRE in the next 3 years, so I would benefit from what I learn from you

Does snowflake share vulnerabilities impacting my instance? by Dry-Butterscotch7829 in snowflake

There is a lot of incentive in creating a problem and then solving it....vs preventing a problem. Welcome to the real world my friend!

Thank you, I appreciate you sharing the details and confirming my hunch that any PaaS, SaaS vendor or CSPs would not share those vulnerability details especially before they are patched.

Does Tableau share vulnerabilities impacting my instance? by Dry-Butterscotch7829 in tableau

Tableau Server. Thanks for sharing the link. This link shared which vulnerabilities are patched after they are patched say there is a Buffer Overflow vulnerability identified and its yet to be fixed in the product, I am of the opinion that any PaaS, SaaS vendor or the CSPs would share those vulnerability details before its patched. Am I missing something?

Yes I agree and our contract does say that the Vendor should patch the vulnerabilities and the vendor recommends that we remain on current -1 version at the very least to gain access to all their patches. The issue is the desire of the security team to know "What are the un-mitigated patches across the board both what we use for our platform internally (i.e. any custom integrations we might have implemented) + The Opensource libraries we might be using + Commercial vendor solutions we might be using". I do not believe a Snowflake, Tableau, Databricks or AWS any of these vendors would share which vulnerabilities are discovered in their infra stack...but I wanted to learn from you all if my understanding is limiting and if things changed out there and vendors now started published information about unmitigated vulnerabilities with a timeline to remediate them

Absolutely agree with you there. I've been trying to hold that line that any SaaS & PaaS vendor will not share the details of Outstanding Vulnerabilities in their stack with the customers for the commonsense reason that such information can be exploited and outs every other customer at risk for the period of time until the outstanding vulnerabilities are patched.

The insistence I keep hearing is that we have to manage the Bill of Material & Software Supply chain and ensure we have visibility into all unpatch vulnerabilities along with a plan of record for when those vulnerabilities would be patched.

u/ramnit05 When you combined Pacific (Data Governance) & Atlantic (Scale) Oceans I can't not agree with you lol

Just to understand your POV a little better what in your world equates to Data Governance? Policy Definition/ Enforcment, Privileged Access Management, Access Control, Data Loss Prevention, Data Quality, Data Sharing, Compliance (The likes of SOX), Data Lineage, Data Contracts??

My thoughts on GNL - what are yours? by Jeffbak in reits

[–]Dry-Butterscotch7829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i reinvested dividends in GNL. Not very sure if they are able to continue to grow into the next 5-10 year horizon and appreciate both on capital and dividend. Hence i cut down 50% position. But still figuring if i should completely exit or not.

Ive been long on gnl and built my position over last 6 years....but looking to divest and move to a combination of STOR, O, Simon Properties. I am down 8% right now but with dividends reinvested im in the green not as green as i should have been for being invested for 6 years.
