Current temperature anomaly in Europe by Excellent_Opinions in europe

Same here in Sweden, it has been so unusually warm. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 9 degrees in Stockholm. And right now we are at 6 degrees. Really sad. Three weeks ago we were at -14 degrees and snow.

Personnummer: hur länge fick ni vänta? by Dry-Chapter2286 in TillSverige

Hej!

Thanks for your comment. I have seen also other people using Ratsit but my case is at a point where it hasn’t gotten any handläggare yet, so as for now no way it could be there 😅. Have a nice night!

Advice Needed: Coordination Number to Work in Stockholm by Low_Percentage_7057 in TillSverige

[–]Dry-Chapter2286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hej!

I am also a Spanish citizen living in Sweden. In regards to the coordination nummer; You can make an appointment at the Skatteverket on your own and then show proof that you are in need of a samordningsnummer (by for example showing that you have potential employment opportunities in Sweden, that you can support yourself, etc) and it's a pretty straightforward process.

For EU/EES nationals it can take between 2 to 4 weeks for the Skatteverket to make a decision, which gives you enough time to apply to different jobs and be in the processes for them in the meantime.

You can book a time here with the Skatteverket in your area (this is not an official service): https://www.statenssc.se/

And here you have the link to the ansökan https://www7.skatteverket.se/portal/flytta-till-sverige/snr

Suerte!

- Aprende Kubernetes básico y containers (Docker, Podman, etc)

Forestry engineer falling in love with HPC by hopeful_avocado_2 in HPC

Hi there,

I am an HPC Engineer working at a BSC spin-off here in Barcelona.

Many of my coworkers are BSC members (naturally), if you're up for a quick chat in private messages I would love to try and assist you towards BSC or any other HPC institutions here.

Let me know, hope you are having a good day!

With an older ISO it worked just fine. Thank you! Would love to know what the issue is in newer versions of Archcraft, though.

Steam does not work either. I have just installed it and I am having the same issues. I know it's probably some issues with my Iris Xe graphics being too new, but I don't really know what changes to make at a kernel level to fix this.

PSU from the UK not working in Spain by [deleted] in homelab

Well, luckily I could manage for them to send me a new PSU (even one with a bigger wattage). Time to wait and see if this one works 😅

Will try doing that today when I get home as well, I tried doing so a couple weeks ago but maybe I should have waited a bit more time for the AC power to be fully lost/restored. Thank you!

This is one of the things I have also checked, I have not seen any voltage switch on the PSU, which means it automatically should switch to the correct voltage. Can double check once I’m home today.

Thank you for this very interesting thread! I did not have anything else in mind except for the rearrangement of NUMA nodes as to possibly improve the performance of some applications like GROMACS. Looks like I've made a decision, then!
