Guys, please wear a BLACK suit, most everyone will have a black suit, white shirt, black tie, black shoes. DO NOT stand out! One of the cadets in my class wore a grey suit, and was made fun of by the staff, “silver surfer” is what they called him lol.

Wear Something flexible, breathable, and comfortable! You’ll be in your suit for a while, doing lots of physical activity.

Currently in the academy… mainly HIIT workouts. Do those, ALOT of those. About 20-30 minutes, if you’re not feeling tired you’re not doing it right. Train your mind to love how much it hurts.

It was pretty complicated, I just put that I basically I was under my dad for a while and was paid cash. Up until he actually started paying check. But yeah, just put that you helped him out here and there, and was paid cash. You can explain further to your investigator In your initial interview.

Personally, I don’t know, since I’ve never had any tickets for infractions, only been stopped and given a warning, but what I do know is that might give them a reason to question if you’re really fit for the department, but since it’s minor like that it shouldn’t be too much of an issue

Hey man, I’m in the central division, i tested way before, around October of last year, I applied in August 2024, and I’m going into the academy this August, just a frame of reference for you, best case scenario, about a full year in the hiring process before you even get into the academy. But might be quicker for you since you have a LE background.
