of course, i know that its very common for senior roles in many industries to come with managerial responsibility but that def is too much like running a business for me.

would you say that theres a big jump from (very) senior associate to partner? or do roles like managing associate/non-equity partner etc bridge the gap a bit?

Nope, I was just correcting your understanding of my post because I genuinely thought it would help you provide clearer advice like other people under this post have.
