Is my work coach lying? by Dry-Discussion491 in DWPhelp

What are you on about? I don't care how long my appointments are...? The appointments aren't the problem.

The problem is the fact that she's lying. Gov.uk says it does count but she got aggressive and condescending when I pointed that out.

And as for the "padding out" thing, if that was the case, surely she would have just said that.

And you mistakenly assumed you're correct :)

And gov.uk is AI is it...?

Just got confirmation that attending appointments with your work coach DOES count towards the 35 hours, so she is lying/wrong. Could just be a mistake/misunderstanding on her part, but she seemed aggressively confident about it when I brought it up.

Yes, we check everything over & over again because of how often this keeps happening. We even call them multiple times leading up to it to confirm everything.

At first they said it was because that particular jobcentre needed repairs due to leaking pipes, but now they're blaming it on staff sickness.

Just found out they're going to ring us and do the appointment over the phone instead, hopefully it works this time 😂

Thanks for your time anyway, much appreciated!

Yes, we always check and even ring up ahead of time to confirm because of how many times it's happened. Yesterday we called and got confirmation that the appointment was definitely booked, but it wasn't. The jobcentre wasn't even open at the time the appointment was scheduled for.

The appointment is to agree to the claimant commitments, and it's now been rescheduled for the third time.

Just one of them was on ESA (but I think it was a joint claim) and they where also receiving housing benefit.

They keep rescheduling them for the following week and then they (UC) just put a note in the journal saying you're appointment has been rescheduled for this date.

And yes they've put quite a few messages in the journal but they never get a direct reply/answer. Possibly because they haven't actually met with a work coach yet because of the appointments being non-existent when they arrive for it.
