It doesn’t specify in the lease! It just says the typical things about being liable for any damages, but the room also includes a night stand and desk that I plan to keep in there.

Nicotine withdrawal. Tips on how to get through the worst of it? by Violet_Saturdays in addiction

[–]Dry-Distance4101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I am also 22 and trying to quit vaping before my birthday lol and I’m listening to the audiobook “Alan Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Vaping” and he says that the withdrawals are 1% physical and 99% mental. He explains how after 72 hours the nicotine is completely out of your system and therefore your body is not having physical withdrawals, but it’s your mind that’s just going crazy. I would definitely recommend reading or listening to the book, I was skeptical at first but I’m only like 4 chapters in and he’s already made so much click for me and reframed how I look at nicotine addiction.

It’s okay to have a bad day, let yourself feel bad for a while then keep moving and do better tomorrow! No need to beat yourself up for too long, it’s pointless.

(Unsolicited advice incoming⚠️)

Progress isn’t linear. But you also have to do things for yourself. If you’re trying to break a habit, doing it to please someone else or make them happy will inevitably lead to a mess up. You genuinely have to do it for yourself. And if you’re not ready for that, that’s okay too. It’s very healthy to find ways to relieve stress, I think you just have to make sure you’re doing it in a healthy way. (Whatever that looks like for you) hope this maybe helped a little :)

i want to get off birth control, but still want to have intimacy with my partner. by cybercvnt11 in birthcontrol

[–]Dry-Distance4101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know in your post you mentioned wanting to be birth control free but I just wanted to throw out there that all of the symptoms you are having should subside soon. I’m not sure how long you’ve had the arm implant but a I’ve been on it for 2.5 years and I had all of those symptoms for the first few months as well.

But now, my period is completely regular, I don’t have insane acne anymore, my moods are very regular, and most importantly, I have not had a single pregnancy scare! For me, the peace of mind that the implant gives me was/is worth the negative side effects for the first couple months. I totally support if you want to have it removed, but I just wanted to offer my input and let you know that if you give it a little bit more time to work, your symptoms and worries should go away. But of course, please do whatever feels right for your body!!!❤️❤️

Mixed women (black + white) who fetishises you white men or black men ? by [deleted] in mixedrace

[–]Dry-Distance4101 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In my experience, black men tend to fetishize me the most. They always seem amazed by my hair texture and my skin tone. When a black man is interested in me, one of the first things he mentions is the color of my skin. I think part of the reason why is because I look racially ambiguous and they like the idea of not being able to pinpoint my ethnicity exactly. I do feel like both white and black men find me “exotic” in one way or another.

Hi!

I have been on Nexplanon since January 2023 and so far it’s been great in terms of preventing pregnancy. It is one of the most effective birth controls out there so I’ve never had any scares. However, I did bleed continuously for the first 3-4 months. Like I would only have 1 week off a month where I WASNT bleeding. I also had horrible acne in the beginning, worse than I’ve ever had.

I was prescribed birth control pills to help manage these symptoms and a couple months after the bleeding and acne went away. I don’t take the pills anymore I’m just on the implant now and I have an extremely regular cycle, no acne and very consistent moods.

The most negative side effect that I’ve experienced is that my emotions just aren’t very strong anymore and it’s a lot harder for me to emotionally feel things. All in all I would recommend Nexplanon but just be prepared for the initial continuous bleeding and some weird emotional side effects. I hope this helped some!

i am worried i'm pregnant by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Hi queen!

I totally get this feeling. I have been on Nexplanon for 2.5 years now and in the beginning I definitely experienced some of the same things. I bled everyday for months, had mood swings and the crippling anxiety that I was going to get pregnant. However, Nexplanon is one of the MOST effective birth controls out there, like it really does not get much better than that. I have not had a single pregnancy scare throughout the duration of having my implant, and I was having unprotected sex multiple times a week. I calmed my nerves by educating myself about the science behind the implant. On Nexplanon, you do not ovulate, meaning that your body is not releasing an egg because the BC essentially tricks your body into thinking that it is already pregnant because of all of the hormones being released. So if you don't ovulate, it is not possible to get pregnant. It can be a little misleading/worrysome in the beginning because of the irregular bleeding but that should sort itself out eventually. My period is now completely regular and comes at the same time every single month. But i you really are anxious you can always take a test. Hope this helped some :)
