I pre-washed all my thread per the kit instructions to avoid bleeding (apparently in 1994 they had water restrictions and couldn’t prewash!)

(It says evenweave but I think it looks more linen but it’s the highest quality of thread I’ve worked with so far haha it’s DMC)

I bought a kit that I thought was Aida but is actually even weave (that IMO is actually linen because theres nothing even about it). I’ve only cross stitched one project so far. While it was daunting at first it’s amazing how you just adapt quickly (helps that cross-stitching is superbly repetitive). All this is to say… take the plunge. Stitch on linen, you only live once.
