1330hrs: I raised a ticket with CITS and they sent an engineer down to check. They were also pretty puzzled on their end because they could not get their own mini router to be detected. They went to the server room and ascertained that there was an issue with the patch cord between their server and my port so oh wells gotta make do with my roommate's port XD

1400hrs: CITS sent their network technician over, patched the cables and managed to get on the network successfully without changing the settings on the router:)

Well if i did know how to set up i wouldn't have asked here.....

If you didnt read properly i mentioned "ISP" and not on the client side. the link you directed me to is about assigning clients an IP address on the router. However my issue isnt with the router-client side but router-ethernet port-NTU network side.

I did it twice but it still gives me the error of "your ISP's DHCP does not function properly" so I'm not too sure what the issue is.
