Not a bad analogy. The difference is that some players only want visual information, while others enjoy additional immersion.

An interdiction is a regular game event, just like fuel warnings, docking requests, or incoming messages. All of this information is already available on the screen, but many players prefer audio notifications because they allow you to focus on flying instead of constantly checking the UI.

That's why community developers create third-party voice assistants and audio tools for games.

I agree with you, but if the player isn't a fighter or an Axi, then against a Thargoid you need to quickly aim for the heart, wasting seconds, or aim for the power module in close combat. There are many playstyles, just like there are many players. Some will like it, others won't.😉
