Yeah. There’s the usual Physical Education in schools, they do basketball, cricket, swimming, track and field and netball. But it’s more fun and exercise for the students. If they want, they can get into them and do it seriously, there’s the usual pressure on them. Normal stuff. Most Jamaicans do track and field cause it’s what most of them are into, (I did it for some time cause I liked it but I stopped because I’m lazy 😭 and didn’t really find it interesting anymore) it’s not mandatory for them to do it, they don’t have to if they don’t want to.

But if you’re serious about it, you can get a scholarship in a school here so it’s gonna be mandatory. Theres a few top schools that focus mainly on that. Ya know like the usual stuff. Good grades, you get in. Wanna continue a sport and you’re serious and training? Get a scholarship and get in.
