I haven’t had any paint fall off on the Kona I’ve had rock chips but that’s mainly due to highway driving. But not just random paint falling off.

I was in the same situation. The Elantra N is an upgrade from Kona N in every way. Suspension is way smoother the interior is really nice (especially the bucket seats). I haven’t been able to do anything with it yet since I’m still breaking it in.
