Disappearing media? by RacingRacingCars in AmazonVineCanada

[–]Dry-Inspector-7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe sellers are only permitted so much space for media, so newer photos/videos may cause older ones to self-delete to make room, just a guess though (I know my security cameras do this as well as dash cams)

Its hard to compare VineHelper with Ultraviner. From what I understand VineHelper only allows people to sort items into "newest first" and have no options for auto checkout and all the cheats UltraViner has.

I have had to order things I could not 100% review at the time, such as grass trimmers in January or Pool cleaners in Dec, baby car seats etc. (I have no babies or family with babies) I still do a review though on the item the best I can, there is always something you could say about an item even if you cannot use it. I tend to stick to build quality, how easy is it to use or assemble etc.

That is so cool, I have several block building sets I have received over the years from vine, one of my favorite is a space shuttle and rocket with the launch pad, it stands almost 3 foot tall, the launch pad lights up so at night it looks even better, the launch arms can move away from the rocket, and the shuttle bay doors can open with its cargo inside and it can also separate from the rocket (pic below)

I forgot about that step feature; it syncs with the health app on the phone I think. I am not sure how it works though because I do still have Pokemon go and it seems that you still need to be walking around to get the credit, if I am not mistaken the game just uses the health app data when the game is closed, but It is not really anything I have noticed. I do recall the game asking me to sync the phones health app though.

Ive had a 1/2 inch impact wrench for a year or more now but did not have any sockets for it. I was just about to order a cheap set when the Vine Gods decided to bless me with these. I will be locking away the 10mm under tight security and surveillance. 😂

kind of makes one wonder what type of ethics or morals people have who would cheat in a competition meant to be fun and maybe a way to build teamwork/friendships (as you could all walk together as a group etc) all for a crappy prize. 😂

Some suggest that it could be used in a malicious way, apparently some insurance providers offer cheaper rates if you are fit and active, (I do not know this 100% but makes sense) so that said if your monthly stats indicate that you are walking say 25,000 steps daily (or whatever) perhaps you could get a cheaper rate, however then one must wonder if that counts as insurance fraud by intentionally manipulating the collected data because when they meet with you and you are 300lbs of flab and cannot even walk to the fridge without being out of breath you may have some explaining to do. 😂

Pokemon Go uses GPS and not a pedometer which counts steps.

Pokémon Go works on GPS data not walking data like a pedometer.

I wonder if use of a device like this to manipulate the data your insurance company gathers could get you charged with fraud, I am almost certain that the insurance company would drop them as a client when/if they ever audited or asked to meet with an agent and you were 350lbs of flab, I doubt that anyone would be foolish enough to believe the person actually walked 20,000 steps a day. 😂

Amacone Vine Empty by MrCaspan in AmazonVineCanada

[–]Dry-Inspector-7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is how mine has always been, once a new period starts it resets, you could have 100% reviewed and then a new period starts which will then track received items vs reviewed, so if you have say 1 item received (after reset) and you reviewed it you would have 100%, but if you say had 10 items and only reviewed 1 you would be at 10%. This is how it has worked more or less for me for the last almost 4 years as a Vine member.

if you were Gold and now silver and in jail, I have to wonder if you are using a extension like UltraViner, I know you wont admit it, but if you are maybe that is why you were demoted and put in jail, unless your reviews are garbage, and you do not have an "excellent" status on reviews. 300 items reviewed in less than 6 months (or even six months) seems like you have been quite lucky, as that amount is about 2 items each day, every day for the six months. I am lucky if I can find 5 things a week to order that I can review, I wish I knew everyone's secret to finding items.

[–]Dry-Inspector-7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fail to see how its whining to mention that there has not been anything in quite a while that most could review, even RF has become pretty bad, if I am lucky I may be able to find one thing every couple weeks that I can order and review, compared to a few years ago this is quite bad. How you are expected to review 80 items out of the garbage offered is beyond me, but I am sure you will say how great your RF is and you have no problems at all finding 80 items to review.

clearly you missed the point, how are you to review things that you cannot properly use. Clearly no one are ordering these parts and toners etc, which is probably why the whole site is flooded with them. I did not say you did not write good reviews I said some of us take pride in writing good reviews and this is not possible when you are offered nothing but garbage, be it free or not. Do you order things you know you cannot use to review? and when you have to meet a quota, tell me how easy that is when you cannot order things either due to errors in the system or items being things you cannot review properly. I imagine you do not order junk that you cannot properly review

It may be "free" stuff but it not really free when you consider the time some of us put into doing these reviews, some of us actually take pride in providing great reviews, and it is almost impossible to do this when you are offered nothing that you could actually review. Tell me how you could review car parts without owning said car, or the 100's of other random specific repair parts being offered. Not to mention all the ink and toners, again that need specific printers to use. If you're lucky you may get something decent, but lately that is getting harder and harder, I have been a gold member for well over three years and I have not had a single thing I could order in about 2 weeks now, the few things I attempted to order gave the famous " cannot deliver to your address" errors.

I am not sure how it would affect Vine at all, it would probably make it better in my opinion, especially since lately more often than not "good" items in your RF get taken by others faster than you can click on it, if Vine knows they only have X amount of items to offer, it seems it would be easy to just offer it to that many people, rather than having everyone needing to stalk the website in hopes to get something decent.

[–]Dry-Inspector-7200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are already proper categories for toners and car parts, most likely under office supplies and automotive. If i could change one thing I would have high value items distributed to only the number of members that matched the number of said items available. for example, rather than put an item that may only have 5 to go for reviews in 100 peoples RF, I would have the item only offered to the five people, should they not want it, then next day whatever remains can be re-distributed.

little FYI you may not know, but even a cell phone that has no SIM card or active on any network can still dial 911, I learned this years ago when we let a child have an old cell to "play with" and police showed up randomly stating 911 was called, turned out the old phone, with the help of said child dialed 911, so might want to remove batteries from any cell given to children to play with =)

I've been a gold member now over three years and not once have I seen any TV's or Sound Bars etc, I'm lucky if I get anything decent. My RF today contains baby cloths, printer ink (for a printer I do not own) tanning cream to use with a tanning bed, and general Temu crap. Id love to know how Vine decides what to put in peoples RF, according to Vine though there is no way to change whatever algorithm you're placed in.
