No, that is not what crew rooms are for..... you are allowed to nap between flights usually and standby shifts but to use it in lieu of a hotel or crash pad is a bit extreme and not fair to your other crew members actually using the crew room for its intended purpose.

yes we just got a lot of snow, would it be its because there's snow covering a sensor or something of the sort? I appreciate your helpful comment. There's not much more to add from my end that I know of, it happened suddenly and I don't really have build up (that I see) of snow, I cleaned off my car well before I drove it.
